I stopped supporting Balenciaga with all the bad stuff they are involved in. My brands are Ralph Lauren Purple label, Black, RR, RLX, Celine, Tom Ford, Fendi and Saint Laurent. Im focused on timeless clothing stuff that i can wear 20 years from now, im slow to purchase stuff now.

Seven years for an expensive pair of shoes is terrible. There are two sorts of luxury I think, fashion luxury like those sneakers or quality luxury that in sixty years will still be wearable/useable. Think LV luggage, true luxury or a fine pair of English bench made shoes that can be resoled and refurbished so you end up passing them down to your children. You really don’t get that with the fashion footwear brands that often cost double the fashion luxury brands. To me, real Luxury is understated with very little evidence of the name (no red soles!) When everyone and their aunt are wearing luxury then for me it is not luxury any more. I love Rolex but for me it’s not luxury as nearly everyone wears them, luxury is Patek or an independent watchmaker, the exception is Cartier no matter how affordable it still is the epitome of Luxury. A panther in gold with a gold bracelet just oozes old school class.
