Yes, voting this week is bonkers. I don't know how half of these submissions even had the required tags! I did enough for my moonstones and then gave up.

Once again, I do prefer the second account submission so I get why it scored higher. It's a simple, beautiful shot. You can see everything without having to zoom into the photo to vote.

personally , If I have the choice in voting between 2 submissions not attempted properly I back out , Why should someone get a vote for a bad photo , when we hardly ever see good ones to vote on ?

the people that say tags = score and votes = rank are completely incorrect. the in-game guide (found under settings) says that tags AND votes contribute to score. your score determines your rank and the rank percentile (as seen on the wiki) determines your moonstone results + pixel dust is your score + 100

voting was *super* difficult for me too, I had to cancel/back out so many times just because I could not vote for either of the options I was given..

I'm gonna vote based on overall vibes I think. I'm gonna think about food and friends for the theme, and cooking as a secondary factor. Mainly I'm looking at the setting and composition, the image itself, but outfit will be the deciding factor if I can't choose between two difficult ones.

I have a theory (as i usually do, one time im bound to be correct) that its how much the items cost to purchase that matters. You used the celestial bed, that bed costs 23k. Look at how much it costs to buy the other items in your shots & compare the star coin cost of the items in your main account. My theory is that they have more points the more star coins they cost.

But cooking with friends voting is rough, so many inside Remy restaurant, non cooking outfits, selfie’s in outfit challenge, quest snaps, etc..I had to back out a lot but hoping it gets better as I vote more!🤞🏻📸 And my treasure trove dreamsnap results broke my 4k streak, would have been my longest and it was I feel my most creative. I got 1500 ms and rank 13,425 and my ddlv heart still hurts, but hoping dreamsnaps/ddlv get better sooner vs later!

I didn't do the chef hat because I had more of a dinner with food. I figured that most people who cook for a dinner party with friends don't wear a chef hat, especially outside, and if you want high tags, sometimes you need things a chef won't wear.

I loved both of them honestly, the second was close up and lighted so well that it just stands out next to another photo is my guess (which is easier when some people speed vote). We've had great voting these past few weeks that this week a lot of people were not into it I guess. Voting has not been this bad in a while, I will vote for any kitchen, any outfit that makes sense with the photo but I've seen SO many that have nothing to do with cooking.

I went for "grill master" with a beach BBQ on my cooking with friends submission, so my character is in a bathing suit. Hopefully people will get that for the outfit challenge.

Regarding cooking with friends dream snap. This week I will be looking for 1. friends in the shot since you can’t wear them, 2. An overall vibe of eating a meal/cooking 3. An outfit that complements the scene that is created with “friends and cooking.” For example if the scene appears to be a cooking class then maybe a chefs hat. Or if the theme appears to be a demonstration class, then a chefs head. But if the scene created is just a bunch of friends together cooking then the outfit the main character wears should complement that scene and does not have to have a chefs hat.

I was disappointed with my results. I tried to do something out of the box but i guess it wasn't appreciated 😢 oh well i still like my picture. I'm struggling to vote for pictures that are on theme this week, i skipped so many that had nothing to do with cooking in either outfit or background

I also was on a 4K streak for a long time and now it's hit and miss. I haven't gotten 4K the last for challenges and out of those 4 the 2 that I knew would be 4K ended up scoring super low, while the 2 that I knew wouldn't get 4K got 2500. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing anymore.

Outfit challenges are silly. Dreamsnaps should just be themed with requirements for both outfits and furniture like Daisy store and leave it at that.

I’ve always thought I was in the minority, but I don’t really prefer snaps that have a bunch of gems all over the floor. I don’t mind a couple scattered about if they make sense. But because of other games I’ve played in the past I’ve always seen a bunch of gems on the ground as a ‘lazy,’ way to decorate. Even though in dreamlight valley it’s actually a pain to place all the gems 😂😂 idk, it’s just never been my favorite. Maybe some others felt the same this week? It was still a great snap, so who knows honestly

I did a high number of tags in my submission yet I still ranked in the 8000s and got 900 moonstones. It was even a nice submission. So no, tags has nothing to do with votes, ranks, and scores. And yeah I too have seen submissions that have nothing to do with cooking. It’s like they weren’t even trying last week.

I found a ripoff of your octopus entry when voting yesterday. It even had Eric and Gaston in the same spots, and was the exact same angle. It was a different colored chef hat and almost the exact food items except for a couple.

I've only down dreamsnaps 2 times. My first time I got 1200 I think, and the 2nd I got 600. Lol ... I give up. I don't know what I'm doing. I know free moonstones is great but I want 4000 so I can buy stuff lol. Oh well. If I suck again this week I might not even bother. The amount of time I took doing both isn't worth the moonstones.
