When i started in trucking in 2007/2008 i came to trucking because it was the only career that wld hire a person with my background. With that being said, i saw accountants, bankers, salesman, army retirees, and etc come to trucking because trucking was the only industry hiring when we went through the great recession. Trucking is extremely stable, but the problem is that in 2008 the lease program was fairly new. So it was a few companies that offered it. Now everyone has found out how keep a driver by making them think they are owners. This is the only part of the trucking that is risky for an individual. Most individuals do not have the funds to even start a business Let alone have money for emergencies and breakdowns. So now i hear how rough and bad trucking is. This is a great career. But u definitely have to get out of debt and get a emergency fund together. But trucking is a great career. I been doing it 17 years, but ur right it can lead to a lot of issues especially with health and being overweight.

What 💎 bro! On the road to success, sacrifices must be made whether that’s change of career or change of location like you said. Definitely agree with that and the knowledge on taking what you hear with a grain of salt, because most will just try to discourage you and knock your grind. Congrats on 6 yrs too bro, statistically truckers don’t make it last one…keep grinding brother 🫡

Have you ever backed into a parked trailer attempting a 45° alley dock parking?

Man, I'm in school now for my cdl. I'm about to take my test this week and had a great week, but then I tried backing in and bumped a parked trailer with mine. No severe damage was done, but man, did I feel like crap. Can't let it knock my confidence. Your videos are great, bro!! Extremely informative and genuine!

I’m sure going forward that situation will play out in your mind but don’t let it kill your confidence. Use it as a reminder to be more attentive. Always remember the acronym G.O.A.L in trucking. Get out and look. Doing so can help you prevent accidents like this from occurring. It’s not the end of the world bro. Learn from it and move on. Good luck 👍🏾
