@@missjul8 literally every open relationship I have known has ended badly. I have know a lot of people to do it and try it. The longest one I knew was 5 years. Someone always ends up getting hurt. It is just the name of the game. There are monogamous animals and animals that engage in multiple partners. I am sorry but open relationships that polyamory just does not work long term 9 out of 10 times.

My 2 cents: i think the uncomfortability that people are seeing in Jacob is more so a reserved personality trait rather then "not being about the relationship". We obviously see that Bob and Ezra connect on a verbal/exuberant level while I think Jacob and Bob connect on a calm and reserved level. Plus I think that he is focused on the recording of the video. Its a great video about alternative forms of relationships, lets not try to dissect who is and isn't with it. Lol ❤

This is the best way to make people drop their judgement. At the very beginning of the video I was like “wtf that must be such a weird situation”. Bless you Bob et al. Re: poly jealousy, I think the best thing I've ever heard is that people don't often make a distinction between jealousy and fear of abandonment, which are two very different emotions and is *very* relevant to committed poly relationships.

I fully support you guys putting this video out to show people that love comes in many different forms. To think that there is only one love per person allowed is archaic. As long as you guys keep the communication open, are honest with each other, and respect each others needs and wants your relationship with each other will be fine and flourish. That bit about not having “rules” to control the other person reminds me of one of the red flags that went up in my first poly relationship, when my boyfriend was upset at his boyfriend for sleeping with someone who wasn’t “approved” even though he could sleep with whoever. Even though I was supposed to be the “only” girlfriend.

@@sandra-jones Totally valid question. Solo-poly is rather broad, but typically it is a person who engages in ethical non-monogamy that tends to not entangle themselves in their relationships. So we typically choose to not co-habitat, co-mingle finances, and may not designate a primary partner. It doesn't mean that the emotional or intimate attachments are not equally strong or that we don't have emotional primaries, we just typically deeply value our autonomy... like you know how when people are in relationships and are considered a unit by their friends or family? That concept is something that a solo-poly person would not like. Hopefully that helps.

I have loved Bob the Drag Queen since day one....now I really LOVE Bob The Drag Queen. He is definitely not following anyone's playbook...he is writing his own--and I love it. We could all learn something from this. Three beautiful souls.
