Good morning. Thanks to you, I have bought many new and used ukuleles to learn about different sizes, materials, finishes, and strings, and I have learned a few things. Many ukes came with poor string setups resulting in poor intonation. I have learned how to set string heights and change strings. One of my favorite tools is the inexpensive plastic string winder. It saves a lot of time when installing new strings. The metal string height gauge was useless to me because I could not read it precisely. I now use shims of different thickness to measure string heights. And I think two of the better modern inventions for ukuleles are machine gear tuners and digital turners.
