My Underground Studio Complex Tour

There is an underground complex beneath my house in Las Vegas that I turned into a photography video studio. Took me almost 3 years to do it. The house was built in the tail end of the cold war. Three presidents have visited it and it was used for presidential fundraising. The entire property is quite unique. Enjoy this peek into an underground world where a photographer can go crazy!

Just learning about Markus. He spins my head for so many reasons. I'm almost 60 and he's done more in every single year of his life than I've done in all of my life and I thought I'd done plenty. To top it all off he's totally loveable.

Wow! You asked at the end of the video if we enjoyed this. And the anwer is emphatically "Yes"! Such a amazing home you have! A while ago you opened up to talk about yourself and your personal journey, and now you opened up your house for us to see. Thank you so much for that! As I am a big fan of history it was great to hear some history about the house and the presidents visiting and all that! But you shouldn't have told us you can't show us what's behind this or that door! Because now I can't stop wondering about just that! 😄 Anyway, thank you so much for inviting us to your home and this visual tour! Take care and God bless!

What people don't think about when they wish they would have all this stuff is how much of a hassle it is. It really is a lot of work to get all of this set up, organize, clean, make sure that it goes where it belongs when you pick it up... Sure, I'd love to have a Batcave like this but it makes my head spin when I think how organized you have to be to not make it a complete mess after a month. Great stuff, it really is awesome to see that you're not overly attached to all of this!

There is only one main word to say, & that is “WOW”😲. But I can say, too, that it shouldn’t matter what others say or why they question you. You have done what your heart inspired you to do because you were able to do it. Not only did you work in Hollywood, but you brought the studio home to you. Your studio really is an inspiration. You are truly blessed. Keep enjoying what you so desire. Congratulations on it all.

It was very interesting to see this. Your facility is a greatly scaled up version of what I use to make videos. It's amazing how much space is needed to store equipment and props. I can appreciate the wisdom in scaling down equipment as much as possible for projects on location. The labor necessary for projects is so underestimated by the audience.

That costume and prop room reminds me of a vintage clothing and costume shop a Friend of mine had back in the early 1980's, in Amarillo, Texas. I would go there on a Saturday afternoon, hang out and learn to sew or work on prop projects, then after the store closed we would choose a costume and about a handful of us would go out to the bars in costume. Those days were some of the best times of my life. I miss the gang I hung out with there. (The husband to the owner of the shop was the art director for one of the local news channels), so you can imagine how just being around them fostered your creativity and brought out hidden talents.

Loved the before and after pics of the basement. The studio is absolutely awesome. I grew up in a house with photography. Developed my first print at 5 in a darkroom with my dad. He was an Electrical engineer and built his own lights as they weren't affordable. I continued on his path and got a Chemical Engineering degree while learning photography from him. Also took college classes for Photography when I finished the Science degrees. And like you, Photography has been a passion. Bravo on the work, I know how it feels to get new toys in and then want to have a model their to play with the toys. LOL
