Well, my favorite photo spot is t shutterflys or something like that in Diagon Alley. I just got back from my trip (on the 19th) and I was bummed we didn’t do it but i still had lots of fun!

Thanks for these great tips! luv your shirt! you guys should go to Disney a few times. since alot of us in your audience go to both in one trip, comparisons can be helpful. for example, people used to Disney expert the rides to know who they are because of Magic Bands.

Honestly, we are terrible at taking pictures so we definitely thought about doing it this next trip. We only have a handful of pictures of ourselves and kind of wish we had more because the photos look so cool!

I've used it once and loved it! Totally agree about the unnecessarily confusing name...The highlights, IMHO, are all the selfie spots and green screen places included with the pass. It really isn't much harder to use than, basically, handing each Team Member your card and taking the picture. I would be again, but it is a bit restrictive. A three day pass must be used in 3 consecutive days. If you take a "pool day" or go over to WDW you lose the day of photos. I had to buy a 7 day package to cover a 4 day trip because we weren't in the parks more than 2 consecutive days at a time.

We love hearing that people enjoy the photo pass! We have looked at some of the green screen pictures and they look fun and hilarious! We weren't sure if it was three consecutive days or not! That makes it a little less accessible to the masses in our opinion. Yeah, that seems like blunder on Universals part. You should be able to split it up that way it can accommodate park guest who don't plan to visit the parks each and every day like yourself! Thank you for sharing!

Hi you Pugh Two from the UK. Firstly thank you so much for your awesome videos, we’ve learned so much in preparation for our holiday to Orlando in November. Quick question about the photopass - we’re attending the OI meet up at the beginning of December - would the photopass cover those photos during the meet up and and the photographers around during the meet up too? That’s a great question! It’s possible you would be able to get your ride photos from the event, but once the parks close to daytime guests I wouldn’t expect there to be any photographers wondering the park!

I think it's worth it, especially if visiting the park for a few days. Getting the 3 day option is the best IMO because you can take your time and not worry about capturing photos all the time. Surprised you didn't mention The Dark Room Photo Studio, it's one of the main reasons for getting the photo pass :)

Can you use the downloaded images to have prints made at home? Disney usually gives you a release that allows you to do that. I like to make photo books with our vacation photos and have them printed from some place like Shutterfly. Or do you have to buy prints in the parks only?

I feel like Disney does it better. Photos are on the same app you use for wait times and mobile order. You can get an annual passholder photo pass that lasts the entire year. Don't get why Universal has to complicate things and make it more expensive by not offering a better package for passholders

Universal does have a year-long photo pass for passholders! We learned about it after this video. They don’t really advertise it, but we have one! We agree about the app, too. They should’ve integrated it all into one.

I have the annual photo pass and they gave me 4 cards to hand out to family members. You can also take a pic of your card and use it or let someone else use it. .

I had forgot to activate mine and after my daughter and I got off of Hagrid's the lady at the ride photo booth activated it for us. So I think you can activate it at almost any photo desk area.

Yes! They just tell you to scan it after every ride, otherwise they don’t know what photos belong to whom. We’re glad it worked out for you all!

I just wish they had photographers at the character meet and greets as well as in certain scenic locations like the Castle. We did the raptor encounter twice and there was never a camera there for us. However, it was worth it to get the 3-day photo pass to forever have my daughters terrified face cemented in a photo.

Great video! We have a trip coming up and I want to get the photo pass. You mentioned a print at home option. Can I print my QR code at home and just stick it in a waterproof badge holder to put on my lanyard so I don't have to go to the photo store or do I HAVE to go get the actual plastic card from the store to use the pass?

We don’t think you HAVE to get the card, but this is something we would definitely check with universal about. The thing is you have to visit the store to get your free prints, so you might as well head over there in our opinion!

Great video guys! I have a question! I’m going solo in november, so im actually quite interested in buying this. But I’m not as interested in the ride photos. I just want someone to take my pictures (especially in diagon and hogsmeade!) so that I don’t bother park goers asking them to take photos for me. So what are these photographers like? Are they just walking around? Are there many of them? How many photos can I expect from them? I guess I’m trying to understand if the non-ride phots would only be like… 2 or 3. Or if it would be 7+ or whatever the case. To see if it’s worth it!

This is a hard one! As far as photographers just wondering around to take your photo, you’re really only gonna find that right at the entrance of the parks. There are other photo ops you can take advantage of that aren’t ride photos with the photo pass, though. For example, there’s usually a photographer with characters at their meet and greet locations so you would get those photos as well. We hope this helps!

A little correction on park photographers being stationed throughout the park. This is a RARE occurrence at least for IOA. They’re at Port of Entry 99% of the time. And when they do have a photographer elsewhere, it’s at the bridge for Marvel superhero island and occasionally Seuss Landing. Less frequently than both though, you’ll get someone on the bridge to IOA from city walk to PoE. This is because for whatever reason, the store managers for the company that does the photography work, Amazing Pictures (Colorvision international), prefer to keep EVERYBODY at the front. So true. I got a pass before at a different park and I never saw the photographer. I spent all that money and maybe got 5 pictures max. The Disney photographers were one of the best though. Numerous pictures and stationed at various locations.

Hi just found your channel and from the UK. We are doing Disney and universal later in the year. We already have the memory maker for Disney but didn't realise that universal did something similar. With Disney you have about 2 weeks when you get back home from holiday to download the photos and save them. Is this the case with Universal, that you can download them once back in the UK? Thanks x

We couldn’t find anything about this on Universal’s website, but according to the Orlando Informer page your access to the online photos does not expire. We wouldn’t suggest waiting like 6 months to try to access them, but it looks like you’ll have more than enough time to get home and get them saved somewhere!

Came here to say this 😂 AP is an outsourced company. It used to be much more noticeable because everyone taking pictures would be wearing AP branded gear and the logo would be on all of the photo information signs.

For Harry Potter area, if the photographers take your photo there do you still get them loaded to the app to keep? Or are those digital photos excluded from the app and only available to purchase in a Harry Potter store? The Harry Potter section is the main draw for us in terms of photos so not sure if the photo package would make sense.

@@icedteamama176 all pictures taken on rides and by staff are included in the digital package. The only exception I know of is one photo place in diagon alley that does motion pictures.

As far as we know there isn’t, but they also don’t have photo ops in the haunted houses or anything like that. That would be cool, though!!

We don’t unfortunately! We’ve heard they still sell the AP pass but you have to purchase it at the parks. It’s not advertised on their site anywhere. We haven’t confirmed this ourselves, but we’ve had several people tell us this!

We would assume no. They don’t really have photographers around the parks. You might be able to link ride photos from the attraction, but we don’t know that for sure.

If we do the 3 day pass, can multiple people in our parties get the photos on to one pass from Volcano Bay? How do you transfer the photos from VB tapu tapu to your account at the end of the day? I see you said more than one person can get the photos with the QR code in the parks, correct?

Okay so for Volcano Bay, you’ll have to have your tickets scanned into your app to connect them to your account. That way, when they scan you into the parks and give you your tapu tapu bracelet it’ll automatically be associated with your park tickets. As for sharing the photos, what we mean by that is that you can send them on your phone to other people in your party. We don’t believe you can associate it with more than one tapu tapu bracelet, though.

Currently Universal is not mandating masking indoors. Unvaccinated individuals are supposed to be wearing masks, but they’re not checking anything. Aside from the teammates, Universal is operating normally right now so the photo packages are the exact same as they used to be!

I got a photo pass at Disney in March. we had cute Star Wars and Disney masks. I actually like the pictures. and 10 years from now they will be distinctive memories from trips.

The single day package is a 1 per day at the park? Or only 1 park in the stay if your stay in universal?

The single day package is one day of photos in any/all of Universal’s 3 parks. So if you purchase that package, wherever you get pictures taken of you that day will be included in the package (assuming you scan your little QR code at that location)

Hello, if I do the one day pass for $69.99. My brother and I share it, say he on a ride and I want to do a character met and greet, how do we share it. The pass would I have to have it on me. First visit to universal studio and coming from the UK The photo studio what kind of backdrop is there? Also is there a Mario bit, I know it not open yet but I know there was a bit for Mario movie, is there a photographer there. Thank you

Hi Sarah! Unfortunately you do have to have the physical card with you to get the pictures from a specific location, so you wouldn’t be able to use it at two locations simultaneously. We haven’t personally done anything in the photo studio, but I believe it’s a green screen and you choose the backdrop. Also, I’m not sure if the Mario photo op is still there or not, but we didn’t see a photographer by it when we were around!

Don’t mind the odd rollercoaster, say big thunder mountain, what rides are like that at universal studio that kind of level, is one of the Harry Potter ride like that? And the water one how is that? No. I purchased it. A hundred dollars wasted. They couldn't find some of my pictures. Calmed their photographers messed up by taking picture of my card though the plastic cardholder. I only got six photos uploaded on their site. They would not do anything to compensate for their mistake.

Would the photo package be a viable option for engagement photos? My fiance and I are going next March (I have been watching all of your videos and they are so helpful haha) and we wanted to get our engagement photos done. But we can't afford the cost. Would this give us some decent photos? We will probably also ask strangers to take our photos haha

So Universal doesn’t have quite as many photographers around the parks as they used to, but this is definitely better than nothing. We would suggest doing some research on where you can usually find photographers and such to help make the most out of it!

That is fair and we assume that a lot of people feel the same way! That being said, the quality of photos and some of the photos that you can't get without buying these packages could make it worth it for some people!
