My best friend's mil was like that she could do no wrong in her mil's eyes. It was good the son was pretty awesome and a great husband but I always loved how even on the tiniest things her mil would give her son heck if she thought for a second he had done something to cause my friend a moment's irritation.

When i watched it, i felt like they ended up together only because they were main leads. I have never hated a kdrama character as much as seung jo. But the drama was fun because of oh hani and her friend trio that's why i continued it.

The mom was one of the major draws in Playful Kiss. This was the 1st hit Korean romance, at least for several years, that had the male leads mom play a major role that wasn't antagonistic. I am aware that is because it's based on an manga, but still It was a major divergence for Kdrama back in the day. I will say I'm talking about specifically the rich guy poor girl and/or genius guy stupid girl dramas. This drama is both.

To be honest, most of the things Hani's dad mentioned about his daughter's flaws can be nurtured overtime. Cooking can be improved if Hani takes the time to learn about them. Everyone start from beginner into expert over the years. No one just becomes a professional chef or professional writer or whatever it may be overnight. Even something such as a troublemaker, she can grow and become more matured overtime too. Those things can be changed. One of the best things about life is that you get to grow and experience life itself with your partner, and in the process you both learn to grow, love and care for another, and just become a better person overall. The journey and memory are what makes it all worth it, not the destination itself.

They also released eunjo's perspective, what eunjo think about them and what eunjo knows about them, like eunjo said his hyung always cancelled everything he had for having time with hani like he said to his friend that he is busy at the phone and canceled it but the fact was he went out with hani. also his hyung always open their room' s window and sit near it, eunjo getting mad for that because thats make their room cold (at night), but seung jo ignored him (the fact that hani always open the window too, and then seung jo can hear everything from hani's room) eunjo also said his hyung smiling at card that hani gave and stared at that for long time and always open that box, and yeah keep everything hani gave to him, and ofcourse eunjo also knows it. Remember the scene when hani's computer didnt work while she completing the administration for the university? Eunjo looks mad to hani because at that time he asked something to his hyung but he ignored him, because he read book but when hani screaming and crying he suddenly jump as soon as possible to hani's room.

This is the best episode of the whole drama...kissing scenes are nothing when compared with this...BaekSeunJo realizing his own feelings,finally being able to choose and word up what he really needs ...Oh hani's dad's reaction when a super perfect man accepts his imperfect daughter's heart,Oh hani 's amazement ,her inability to believe what she hears which is mixed up with her happiess of finally being able to get the man she crave for four years,Bon Jungoo s reaction when he lost what he has loved and protected for years...........anything so touching than this.....???

Like the girl said a while back. If it was her she'd get tired of being chased around too. He literally tried to push her to want more, to want better. And ironically he was there for her during the key moments, as to make us think he had a " radar " of her position to take her out of trouble and then " defending " himself with some mean line as a cover for his real feelings, by contrast to BongJoonGu who followed her everywhere, staying in the way, only to embarrasse or disgrace her with his "token of love "! I even read above she should've chosen him because he " deserved " her more, as if she was some prize for the more "meritorious"!

I've watched this series many Times in Japan version and Korean version. I prefer the Korean version because the cast of Seung Jo and Oh Hani are so handsome and beautiful. The way they play their role and their every single expression are so cute and communicative.

I like this drama but there is a thing I hate about this drama which is that Hani 's whole life revolved around seung jo. Although she later developed interest in the job she did but she never tried to find herself, she took up nursing coz he was a doctor. I think the drama would have been better if Hang was shown as a girl who can take stand for herself and have her own dreams.

I think a big part of Beak's appeal is his innocent looking face and that smile or smirk.Everytime he does something despicable to her,he smiles.When she ask him for help, he saids no first but ends up doing it any way.He even said that he doesn't know why he likes to tease her but he does.The part that shows how much he cares for her the most is when the pervert was about to reveal his naked body to her and Baek shield her eyes with his hands.He knew that this girl was absolutely innocent and she was not ready for that.He had to live with her everyday and he would be embarrassed for her to have seen that naked man.

I watched this series a long time ago, and even now it's aged well. A sweet fun watch with good consistent pacing, without the melodramatic tears that a lot of asian dramas resort to (which is a very annoying trait bc it's so fake.) this lead actress really made the show. correction, the mother was so funny too.

Everybody sees Seung jo as the toxic one, when he isn't actually. Nobody seems to address his caring and loving side. In the whole drama, there were scenes of Seungjo being a caring husband and a bf too till the end but ppl tend to only focus on the opposite side a d distort the real feelings of seung jo and his character into a different toxic person. Hani fell deeply in love more and more because she knows that Seung Jo is a great guy, it's just he is a bit cold and doesn't know how to express things properly at times and acts childishly. But he never once betrayed or had any relationships with any girl other than Hani. He loves Hani like no other!! On top of that it's a fucking drama, so better watch it with that mentality. This drama is cute af. Y'all lack braincells if you think that the drama is toxic, if you don't understand the depth of the story then that's your lookout. Nowadays kids can't watch a fucking DRAMA nicely without judging it and putting their SO CALLED SENSE into it. Lastly they ruin it for every other person who actually understands the depth of it and also understands that it's a drama afterall.

I really liked this series but only problem with it was....female lead had no strong character. She followed him for so many years even though he didn't give a single flyin duck about her. He liked he was being chased and she did chase for 90% of the series and it was really frustrating. Only if she grew some balls and slam his sorry ass for being so stuck up. Kdrama needs to portray more independent women who doesn't need man to feel complete.
