Got the bitpixel in a week ago. So sharp. Especially ones that are animated. Something I did you may like. I got a 3d printed 2 coin slot coin door that opens off etsy. Hey Kelvin, So my ALU 1.1 came with clear plastic screws that you would have used to apply the art that came with the cabinet. I just removed those and put the top acrylic pieces on over the art and then used the plastic screws again. Then I did the same thing with the bottom pieces. Overall, I feel it really improved the quality of the cabinet. Hope that helps.

Thanks for this content. ALU makes more sense now since it's selling @ $350 vs. $600. Have you thought at all about upgrading the monitor? Is there a way to do this and still use the default ALU PCB? Definitely! They refer to it as an OTG connection, which essentially allows the machine to accept and input via HDMI and USB, so that the PC can see the control panel as a controller. How did you get MK on there?
@neologicspasms
@neologicspasms 2 жыл бұрын
@Fat Old Gamers I have the OG 6 button layout. For the life of me, I can't get 2 controllers to map via Steam. When I map the first controller, it duplicates that mapping to the second controller. Is this because it's a 6 button? I'm also not streaming Steam, I have a laptop connected with HDMI and using USB OTG. I've also tried Bluetooth to the laptop, and that didn't work at all. So I'm wondering if I should get the 8 button.
@FactorofGames
@FactorofGames 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Drew, sorry I just saw this message. So you don’t want to map both controllers to Steam or you want separate bindings for a certain game?
@neologicspasms
@neologicspasms 2 жыл бұрын
@@FactorofGames Hey, no worries! So I guess the best way I can describe on what I'm trying to accomplish, is that I would like to have, in Steam, the first controller to be mapped to work as a Player 1 and the second controller to me mapped for Player 2. That way we can play 2 player games like Mortal Combat, Injustice and such. Right now when I map, or attempt to map the 2, 6-button controllers that come with the ALU, it allows me to map the first player controller, but it mirrors that mapping to the second player controller. There is no option to map the second player controller. For example, if you press the A button on player one, it initiates a player one attack. But if you press the same button on the player 2 controller, it initiates the same player one attack. The second player controls don't exist. Steam sees two controllers, but I can't map the second controller to separate button mappings from the first controller. it's kinda hard to explain, but essentially both controllers are player one controllers. I can't map the second player controller to be... a second player controller. It's so frustrating. The only thing I can think of, is that Steam sees 6 buttons, and it not enough buttons to emulate an Xbox controller, so it just mirrors both controllers to... I don't know. It acts like Steam doesn't allow 2 separate controllers, but I know that's not true, because I do that on my PC with Xbox controllers all the time. I don't get it. lol. It forcing me to make it an Xbox controller, so it needs, 2 shoulders, 2 triggers, the 4 Cross buttons, D-pad, and 2 analog sticks.. blah blah blah. And so when it comes time to map the second controller, there isn't enough free buttons? So I guess my question is, will an 8 button atGames Pro work, and allow you to map the player 1 controller independently from the player 2 controller? I hate to spend that money and find out it works exactly the same as the 6-button controller I already have. Or is there even a way to get the stock controller to work independently of one another? And it's not that I want separate binding for a certain game. I just want the player one controller to be player one, and the player 2 controller to be for player to on all games. I want it to work like CoinOps!! For example if you play...... Well that's the problem there isn't a lot of 2 player games with Coin-Ops, where you can play simultaneously. I guess some of the 1942 games you can have 2 players. Or Street Fighter. But there are tons of Steam games where you can do that. But then again I can't get the dang controllers to work that way. Sorry for the long explanation. I just hope it's clear enough. Thanks for your awesome channel!! Oh and I'm a fat old gamer too. :) -Drew

Okay, great detail. I’m just making sure I have the layout correct of your setup. Are you connecting the 6 button OG deck directly to your PC via the USB on the back of the deck? Not through the ALU cabinet via HDMI and OTG USB, correct?

@@FactorofGames So what I'm doing is connecting the HDMI cable from my laptop to the port on the top left of the OG deck. then I connect an OTG USB cable from my laptop to the USB port right next to the HDMI port. There are 2 USB ports up there, so I read somewhere to use the left port. The right port has my CoinOp games usb drive inserted into it. Hey Ian, you play MK11 a couple ways depending on. If you have a PC networked to the cabinet or if you connect it via OTG HDMI & USB connection. If you have a PC in your house and it’s on the same wifi network as the ALU, you can download the LegendsLink App here: www.atgames.net/arcadenet/byog and then install it on that PC. Once it’s installed you would login to the app with your ArcadeNet credentials that you use for your ALU. Then select Local Streaming on your cabinet under the BYOG menu and at that point you could download Steam on the PC and play it via your cabinet.

Any fix to this? Second, in regards to the pinball, I love it, but it does not have the tables I want to play, ie Medieval Madness, Attack from Mars..etc. Arcade 1ups pinball has those games. I am not tech savvy and do not know how to get those games or even how to set them up. Any help from you or anyone would be awesome!
@FactorofGames
@FactorofGames 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Gibsonplayer8, I’m not sure about the lag on the Audio. I’ve never noticed it, but you may want to update the firmware if you haven’t tried that yet. As for playing the Williams tables from Pinball FX3, you’re going to need to involve a PC. This can be accomplished by connecting it directly to the Legends Ultimate via OTG using a HDMI and a USB A to USB A cable. Alternatively, you can use the LegendsLink App available on the Arcadenet website. If you have your Legends Ultimate on a 5ghz wifi network or have it hardwired via a Ethernet cable, you can connect your cabinet to your PC over your home network. In either case, you will want to install Steam on your PC and purchase the tables via Pinball FX3. It’s fairly straight forward on starting the game, but I have looked at doing a tutorial video, so keep an eye on the channel. Otherwise, you should be able to find more info on KZfaq.

Mine is only a few hours old and i'm already having the dreaded BLUETOOTH issue where my controls are locked out. Heard there are bad CTR boards in these that the company is switching out when available. However, support has been real slow for some on getting issues fixed. I bought mine at Sams Club and probably will be returning because the manufacturer only gives a 30 day warranty on these (hmmmm...I wonder why?). Shame because they could've really hit a grand slam on this unit if built right and backed up with a strong support warranty.

I bought a LU Cab, and I will not go into how ticked off I am about how F* upped the control mapping are for original arcade games with no options to change the control mappings. A couple of examples both Asteroids and Space Invaders force using a joystick when the original arcade games never had joysticks. The original arcade games had buttons. Tempest requires a spinner, but the LU forces the player to use the left spinner with no options to use the right spinner. The original arcade Tempest had the spinner on the right, not the left. There are many other games that have control mapping problems that cannot be changed using the LU's config settings. I understand a universal cab can't have perfect mapping for 100s of games, but IMO they did a poor job overall. It appears they designed a game controller layout based on marketing drawings that looks cool in promo pictures but sucks badly when actually playing games. I could rant further, but there is little point to do so. :)
