My Interview was extremely short not more than 20 seconds. First q was - Sir, for which company do you work? I was like, what is he asking? i told him that i am here for student visa. He said sorry sir, can i have your passport and i 20? I gave my docs and after seeing my passport he typed something in PC and after 15 seconds he said your visa is approved. i was shocked by the comment, like without any question and nothing he gave me the visa. He didn't asked anything about my college, which state, finance, course. Nothing nothing nothing. I just said thank you sir and i left.

It uses different development methods to analyse the data and converts the unstructured data into useful information VO : when did u completed ur under graduation Me : 2015 VO : what have u been doing since then Me : I have been working for an MNC company, XXXXXXX. VO : What is ur GRE Score Me : 298 VO : OK, How many universities u have applied for Me : I have applied for only for this university VO : oh interesting!!! Why only this university? Me : I thought of applying other universities as well but by that time I got admit from this university and then I did my deep research and I got to know that it’s one of the most affordable public universities in US and it’s offering me cyber security and data science related courses in one go which is very rare VO : Do you have any relatives in US Me : Yes, my brother recently completed his MS VO : Which university did he studied? Me: The same university that I have applied for. VO : What are his plans now Me : He’ll return back to India as soon as I reach there and I added few more things to convince her VO : cool, who’s funding you Me : I’ve an approved loan of XXX and my father has bank balance of XXX and he has unmovable properties of XXXX VO : Congrats, ur visa is approved Me : Thanks mam, have a nice day She is so cool and always smiling. Revanth Marthi Why would I lie? I’m in US now, I’ve applied for visa on student visa day (June 12) may be that helped me little bit. It’s getting tougher day by day to get student visa, I believe your first shot at visa will have a probably 60% chance of getting approved. Don’t screw the first attempt and yes I’m from AP

I've heard of shorter interviews than that. Think its got to do with your finances... if they seem legit and massively exceeds the limit set in the I-20, you are most likely to get the visa.

My visa interview was probably easier than yours. The interviewer asked me these 3 questions 👇 1. What's the exciting thing about you? 2. What's the exciting thing about this university? 3. What's the exciting thing you will be eating for lunch? (Your visa is approved)

Hey Yudi, I watched your videos for F1 Visa interview and it helped me. And today my F1 Visa is approved. I want to share one point here I don't have that strong financial background but still my Visa got approved. I was very confident in my interview. And I didn't prepare much for interview as I already knew my purpose of selecting UIC Chicago and everything. Additionally, I applied for MS and started my program virtually. I am very good in email writing so after starting the program I emailed Prof whom I have been chasing since two years and everything turned out for me. They accepted me and additionally I got graduate research assistant position in lab with 25 Percent waiver and my advisor will support me for other 25 Percent and the best part is my MS program is converted to PhD. So just want to advice everyone just be focused with your studies and plans.

Hi Yudi, Hope you’re doing good. I’m currently in China 🇨🇳 studying and I got admitted to this uni in California and fortunately for me I was awarded a “presidential scholarship”. My questions are ; Does having a fully funded scholarship increase your chances of your visa getting approved? Is it okay to apply for visa 4months before your program start date ? Does applying in a “third country “ have any negative effect on your chance of getting visa ? Ps: I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ but I’m actually nervous 😩 Please, I will appreciate if you could share some tips with me .

@YudiJ 5 жыл бұрын
Kayode Kolapo hi Brother! Thanks for your kind words! I am not sure what are you scared for! By seeing your comment I can already tell that you are doing hard work and looking up videos and researching on this topic. My tips! Practice, practice, practice!!! - Grab your friends or parents or family, record your voice and answers. See how you sound? Can you do better, prepare again, record again, review again! Just keep doing until you feel confidence! Don’t lie in the interview - there is no need to lie they just want to understand you and your reason why do you want to pursue education from USA! Be honest and let them know that you feel their education system is advanced and will enhance your knowledge in xyz field. Research your college and professors!!!! Literally go and research what happens in college, what’s so good about the college? What your professors are doing? Why do you want to take classes from those professors! Once you know the answers! Then put it together :) Be confident and have a smile! US officers will not kill you so you have nothing to worry about. And Visa rejection is not the end of world! There is and will always be many opportunities. Don’t quit and don’t give up! Work hard and hustle every single day. You got this brother! I believe in you - you have to believe in yourself. :)

I have been following your videos, Yudi. They provide valuable information. Thanks for that. I am looking to send my son for undergrad studies in USA. He still has 2 years left to go, but I have started to do a lot of research to see what could be the best fit for him. Are the visa interviews for Undergrad simpler than the ones for Masters? Kids are a little less mature when they are 17 or 18 years old and when they are going for an undergrad, so their responses with the VO might be a little not so polished compared to when they might have gone for the Masters . Need some help here, please. Also, my son is a World Record holder in photographic memory. Does any such special skill help in the selection criteria for colleges, scholarships, or for the visa interview? Do Visa Officers ever ask what would you do if you do not a visa for your studies? And is it okay for us to mention that in addition to USA, I am also applying for a visa for Germany, or some other country, in case I get a rejection from USA.
@statesman01
@statesman01 2 жыл бұрын
If a 17-18 year old is not mature enough to handle a Consulate visa interview, then why should the Visa Officer consider him mature enough to live and study in the US by himself? So don't expect any special consideration from the Visa Officer. My advice would be for him to do his undergraduate study in his home country and then go to the US for his graduate study. Why? 1.) He will be more mature to handle not just the interview but the (academic/life style/financial) pressures that come with living alone in the US. 2.) He will be less likely to be carried away by the freedoms in the US when he is older. 3.) Undergrad studies alone won't get him a good job. He will have to grad studies to get a good job. So why pay for 5-6 years of International tuition? His undergrad studies in his home country will cost less than the international tuition in the US. So save what you can for his grad studies.

I need to have a sponsor showing 40, 000 $ which is not a problem. But still I am afraid of denial of my visa. I am also thinking of applying to other universities in case I get partial assistance and to leave this one because if it is denied the record may affect my future visa application. You got really lucky... i too had applied for my F1 visa in July 2018 for my Commercial Pilot Program in state of Florida, but got rejected twice. In the second interview, i asked the reason upon rejection but the lady said we can't tell you. I have very ideal profile in my opinion and also approved edu loan and 98L rs as my sponsoring from parents. To my shock i had an indian lady for my first interview, of course she must be Indian-American who seemed to not understand my education plan, asked me weird questions and without even enquiring the basic questions she handed me the 214b. The second interview gave me hopes as it finally was American women who asked me valid questions and i did answer them properly; she was typing for quite some time, smiling at me and there again to my disbelief Denied. All of a sudden your dedicated preparation fall face hard on the ground. I do not want to demotivate anybody but want to tell you that brace yourself for anything and have Plan B ready. Cheers.

You are not wrong. Infact I was feeling really helpful but the interview is never fun as you have shown. The consular officer doesn't even look in the documents and denied the visa. They don't even give chance to explain. So this is the truth about U.S. embassy. How much careless they do.
