Ahhh yes, our first islands, I'll never forget mine. It was a village in a bamboo forest atop a mountain, the place looked fantastic during winter and 6 am while the sky had that green hue to it. I love Eastern living styles a LOT (promise I'm no weeabo, just a culture admirer) and so I bought amiibo cards for villagers like Ken, Midge and Phoebe (also got pekoe because how could I not). I didn't do a terrible amount of terraforming but I did manage to get it to 5 stars since I had a healthy amount of flora north where a hidden meditation area was by some falls. I'll always miss it and just how peaceful it felt. I don't regret resetting and I'm very happy with my current island being carnivalcore, just reflects me a bit more I feel.

Your flowers are my flowers now!! I thought I could get the hand of flower breeding and boy was i wrong 😂 Some parts of my island have gotten some hybrids but others are just embarrassing lol. I'm still deciding how to execute my terraforming

This makes me feel better about my 'norm core' island. I am not a big fan of using all the custom codes or taking time to make them. I really just enjoy building my island with what's available in the game. I kinda felt inadequate about that after seeing all these amazingly constructed islands. Honestly even the attempt of that stressed me out which was so counterproductive to the reason for me playing the game in the first place. I'm so glad I stuck with my island and saw it through :) I am getting the itch to start over though and make something newly mapped out though. Its hard trying to change it around now!

Normcore is where it’s at because there is very little lag, and you can use whatever items you like without worry about whether it goes with your aesthetic. I have 2 islands and they are both normcore. Sometimes I’ll have a little area that is like cottagecore or tropicore because I saw some inspiration- my island is just a hodgepodge- oh and I love collecting things in all the colors and variations and displaying them- so I joke my island is collector-core.
