What we need is a animation for cinimatic video tutorial. Creating an simple charcter animation. Picking up an object and animating that in unreal.

when I first head about Unreal Engine 5 it absolutely blew my mind away, it was like they lowered the size of mount Everest and now anybody can climb! but as I heard from different sources, Unreal Engine is completely different from something like Maya or Blender, not only that, but (so I was told) it is insanely difficult to get a hold of it, which really defeated my expectations.

Unreal engine isn't a DCC meaning it's not a traditional 3D program. It's a game engine with real time graphics that are good enough for movies, but you'll still need Maya or blender to make your models and do all groundwork for your scenes and characters. I'm not sure what you mean it's difficult to get a hold of though, because UE is absolutely free for creators.

Haha no, Blender is still my primary software for modeling, texturing. Unreal works alongside Blender in my workflow.

My only question is if I wanted to make a live-action show, and I wanted to use VFX to place an animated object into the real world, could I do that? Like say I wanted to make a CGI’d robot, but I wanted to have it walk around New York City in real life, could I do that?

That sort of thing can be done using any traditional 3d software like blender, 3ds Max, Maya or cinema 4d and composited using After effects, Nuke or Resolve.

A regular 3d render engine can be hundreds or thousands of times slower than Unreal engine.

Does anyone know if Unreal does real time Dynamics as well ? Fluid , soft bodies etc? If so…. Should this like change everything lol. I mean I really like procedural work flows with Houdini but real time …. That’s just crazy

Yes unreal has Niagara which is a real time physics tool. There are also other plug-ins being developed which can do more stuff which is great. It may not be houdini quality just get but it's surely getting to a really good level.
