My VIDEO got BANNED! And what it means for this channel.

I have had to remove all my Munsch videos because of a copyright strike. Will that happen to my Magic Treehouse and Geronimo Stilton videos? Will I have to start a new channel? Maybe, maybe not.

I'm so sorry this is happening. I have two kids who love listening to you read. They are bith neurodivergent and need to hear books (while also doing other things) and you were the first person, besides their parents, who read to them. A lot of oublishers and authors understand how you and others help so many kids love books and i jope this publisher can also come to this understanding. You are loved and appreciated.

This is very encouraging to hear. I do the videos out of a desire to help both the parents and children, and the authors by giving them more exposure. Many people have written that they went out and bought the books because of my videos.

We would never of heard of the stories id it wasn't for you. As an ex teacher I know of hundreds of brilliant stories and these weren't them. We love listening to them and have now bought some of the books. They should be grateful for that part. Good luck with your own book/story. I am sure it will be amazing 🤩

Thank you very much. I am glad to hear you bought the books. I tried to tell the people at Annick Press that but they refused to listen. It is a shame because, as a Canadian, I wanted to share a fellow Canadian's work with the world. Oh well. Their loss as well.

Thank you very much. One problem with reading another person's work is that you never know exactly how the author wanted it to be read. I won't have that problem with my own book. 🙂

I love your read-alouds, so I am sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been having. However, I am eagerly looking forward to your first book! And I’m glad in the midst of the stress and frustration of the strike on your video, that it encouraged you to pursue your dreams of writing!

I hope publishers see that your read-alongs actually PROMOTE their products! I have purchased a number of Magic Treehouse books, as well as their "Fact Tracker" books, because my children have listened with a tonne of enthusiasm YOUR read-alongs. And you are showing such integrity by giving a five-year gap from publishing date to your read-videos so as not to compete with any potential audio books they are publishing. I hope the other publishers will continue to allow you to use your platform to bring children the joy of listening to your reading. May I also suggest that you open a back-up KZfaq channel as soon as possible as well, just so there is a place on KZfaq where information can be distributed (I don't use the X so would not be able to see your tweets)? Regardless, please know that you have the support of our entire family!

I tried to tell Annick Press that I am promoting their stories. I guess they are too old-fashioned in their thinking. As for Twitter (refuse to call it X because of the current owner), I use it reluctantly. I do have 2 other KZfaq Channels: my original channel, now called Dad Can Too, where I play games and all my other miscellaneous stuff: kzfaq.info/love/IZsVIMRenyw5TpXmBQIspg , and Dad Can Thr33, a new channel where I do daily puzzles: kzfaq.info/love/TR3ZreSuZ6KhRxnu7kQ19g. I will post on those too if Dad Can gets taken down.

My child loves your channel. If you decided to read your own written story or read those good stories from other languages, AI tools like chatGPT may help at least with the content edit and translation. I am not familiar with copyright but just wanted to say there are tons of online tools to assist you. There are many KZfaqrs introduced how to use these tools. ❤❤❤

That's very unfortunate. Thankfully they only sent 1 strike. Good idea with the 5 year distance. There'll be only 1-2 magic treehouse vids per year, but it is what it is :-(. Anyway, good luck on your journey and on writing your first own story!

❤Спасибо Вам за чтение. Только благодаря Вашему каналу я узнала про "Magic tree house" и ""Fact Tracker" books. Без видеообзора не решилась бы купить такие большие сеты. Издательства должны доплачивать Вам за рекламу, а не отключать канал. Т.к на маркетплейсах нет достаточной информации о книгах, стоимость их высока, и покупать наугад совсем не хочется. Желаю каналу дальнейшего развития и процветания. Благодарю за Ваш труд❤❤❤

Thank you very much. I tried to tell the people at Annick Press that I can generate interest in the stories which will lead to more sales, but they wouldn't listen. They are very old fashioned. It is a shame, because as a Canadian, I wanted to give exposure to a fellow Canadian.

Is libravox an option for you? It would be a huge loss if you lost your channel, we listen to your magic tree house stories all the time! Listening to you really got my kids through the 2020 lockdown and we’re so grateful for you!

We always listen only, so if it is a matter of images, don't be concerned if you have to do some audio only. My kids have lived by your stories for about 4 years. They've probably heard some of them 20+ times!

@@DadCanJapan that's cool. I once heard someone say something regarding digital files. It was along the lines of: "Unless you have two (or three (I can't remember)) copies of something, it doesn't exist. That was many years ago before all this mass censorship by Google, FB and KZfaq, amongst others I'm sure. Good luck in the future

Thank you very much for watching. I usually find that things happen for a reason. I take this as a sign that I should try writing my own series. I know how the first book ends and how it will lead into a series story arc.
