i think out of all of loona's assigned symbols (colors, animals, etc) colors is DEFINITELY the most important. im curious how u apply it to before vivid though ?

@@fairypinch9580 i try to figure out how are the girls got to where they were. I mainly use it for stuff like the creation of each girl, and the subunit they were in.

Okok i just finished the video!! And you made some really good points throughout. When you said loona is building new symbols, that really resonated with me- weve seen olivia hye and fire become WAY more closely connected beyond the simple destruction of her old self in egoist, from her burning the moon (whether literal or not) to her killing line in why not being "lets burn it up!" to the wolf decal on the racecar also having flame details. The butterfly, too, has moved on from simply being go wons representative animal to being a marker of decicive moments in the loonaverse. The symbols arent just changing, they are evolving as well. Another bit of advice I have for beginning theorists is to not feel bad if your theory and and anothers don't line up, but also remember to not feel like. Superior. The individual theories they and you might have, while definitely similar due to the fact that the source material is the same, might be ultimately completely different due to interpreting said source material differently. Because loona has no one canon, it would be irresponsible to say that one theory is better than another.

And to add, its so important to note that an evolving symbol in this style of artform means an evolving storyline. It directly goes against this incredibly cynical view some Orbits hold that there is no plot progression.

I am really looking forward to your videos 🤩 The explanation of different perspectives is spot on. Like when I see people or my friends reacting on LOONA mv’s they always tend to point out or argue out different things that they saw only in one music video. For me it feels like somehow, the loonaverse contextualizes its story into your own perspective. (Sorry if my explanation kinda sucked but i hope u understood it) anyways i really have great time binge watching your theories and i’m really excited for the “big project” you have 🤩🙌

Speaking of connections. Remember in Girl Front, you see the cassette player having a blue and red side. Well if you look at Star, you'll see JinSoul and KimLip in the same sides of the blue and red on the player. The cassette player spins each side, moving the information in the tape. JinSoul and KimLip are moving their hands on each other's forearms. Could they have an even bigger role to play together?
