If you attach an apostophe s to a pronoun like "he" or "she", that transforms it into "he is" or "she is" respectively. And you absolutely 100% can attach an apostrophe s to a name and have it be EITHER possessive or contractive. It just depends on the context of the sentence. Also also, an apostrophe after the s doesn't ONLY happen if someone's name ends in s. It also happens when 1.) it is a possessive apostrophe and 2.) the subject is possessing multiple things. This was how I was taught in high school. Graduated in 2021. Maybe grammar has changed? Either way you are welcome for the grammar nerdout
