Hello Greg ! Wow.....It’s amazing how many of us in the VIP community have such different stories about the journey of our vision loss. Mine is quite different than yours and didn’t involve any medications or painful surgeries. 15 surgeries in 9-12 month period??Astounding. And I live in philly suburbs so Wills eye hospital is where I always go for my annual visits. Thank you for sharing with us. And I love your voice. Your audio is perfect! And in case you’re interested I told my vision loss story on my channel a few months ago. It’s titled “What it’s like to be Blind? And to be Blind as a Visual Artist?” . Was great seeing you yesterday on the panel.

Hi there, I haven't read through all of the comments, but I wanted to ask you if you still have light perception or have you lost that? I have always had low vision, but it has always been very stable, only until the pandemic, and now it has decided to do sick of everything and it went to the beach in Hawaii without me… I am finding it very hard, especially since I do so much even with the little bit that I had. I still haven't been able to wrap my round my mind around it yet. I also think it's a little bit harder when you have very little vision to begin with, because not everyone realizes the impact it has when you lose your low vision. People think it will be easier when really it's not. Even I had no idea how it would have impacted me until it happened.

Yes, I have since lost my light perception. It’s my normal now, I guess. It certainly is mind boggling to loose ones eyesight very rapidly. It takes some adjusting, and definitely some grieving. Give yourself some time for sure.

Have you ever considered writing a book about your journey? You could call it 'Blind sided'

New subscriber and I'll share this channel with my son! My 9 year old granddaughter was born blind and has just learned to use her cane. I think your tips and experience will be very helpful. Thank you for sharing. As an aside, have you ever been to Tommy Edison's channel? He's a blast! kzfaq.info
