For real, a big disgrace. If he's there or not, can he not just be congratulated and enjoy the win. Especially against Pep. The man hardly ever loses finals. This was only his 2nd final loss in his career. The other one was in 2011 v Jose's Real Madrid. It is quite clear that the majority of these reporters wanted Utd to lose and then celebrate his demise.

That was disgraceful. Sharked - not 1 journo was happy with him not losing his rag at the quizzing. Honestly - the msm as a whole are all the same. Moral-less. I would really like to see Erik ten Hag for a longer time at United and getting the support for club and supporters. He’s a good manager and very direct and tough with a good mindset. He promoted in 2013 at the start of his managerial career with Go Ahead Eagles to the eredivisie, not officially a trophy, but something special, GAE hadnt been in eredivisie for 17 years.

Even Klopp with Liverpool was struggling in his first seasons. Then when he got his team together and got struck by injuries, he still had bad seasons even in their toptime, finishing outside top 4 twice. Twice it was because of injuries. As Erik says; if your best players are not available you can stop talking. Its literally as simple as that. Every team will struggle with that amount of injuries. If anything, sack the medical staff.

United didn't loose the final, but it did make these journalists loose their final story...and they can't get over that, so they just stick to the original plot, willing their story into 'truth' - the manager-blood-on-the-floor story rather than looking at the score board, the cup, the team and the football played on the pitch. A gorgeous match, a gorgeous day for Manchester United and a struggling team, but hey, Glazer power, player power and dirty media power wins every day in serving us distortions and fake images that benefit big money, not football.

I think the must galling thing about this tone-deaf line of questioning from the journalists is that Guardiola's club are sitting with 115 charges hanging over them and yet he almost never faces a single hostile question. Even today he was asked: were United the better team? "No", comes the classless answer and the journalist just moves straight on. Ten Hag has an almost superhuman ability to keep calm in the face of this tripe, coming within minutes of winning English football's second most prestigious trophy, in the process ending a 30+ match unbeaten run for one of the best club sides in the world, with his returning players nowhere near fully fit, in the face of a media that's been baying for his blood for the past 48 hours. I hope he stays and proves every one of these cowards wrong.
