The "cheers" after the "I don't know I can't see him" absolutely cracked me 🤣

Han coming back was HEAVILY teased in promotion of this movie because many people didn’t like the 8th one. Needless to say, due to Han’s popularity and a clever marketing strategy, this Fast 9 became one of the highest grossing movies during the pandemic.

I am still dying laughing at the "is that John Cena?" moment and Holden's reaction!

I love Holden's visible enjoyment and gesturing towards us every time he plays on the Cena meme😂🤣

We should have a running counter on the screen of the amount of times Holden predicts the next line of dialogue.

Vin knows what the fans say about the franchise. He gives fans what they want and unfortunately it's too crazy. Going to space was definitely that fan service scene. Despite all the negative things fans say about this franchise they still go to theaters to watch them.

Watching Holden be more and more defeated by these movies is the highlight of my year

I love how Jen said she thinks back to the first one, and this is where we are, lol. When I watched F9 for the first time, I was sitting there thinking how the heck does the franchise go from street racing to putting Ludacris in space, lol.

10:18 this is the story you hear Dom talk about in the first movie where the guy ended up becoming a janitor and had to take the bus to work. This one did get kinda out there.

The coolest thing about the Fast Franchise is that the actors no matter where they are in their careers are getting steady pay checks and continued roles.

I like how each character has always had a car that fits them Brian likes a Japanese car like Nissan Skyline Dom likes America Muscle so the Dadge Charger Hobs is a big guy so he need a big army jeep Shaw is British special forces so a luxury Austin Martin like 007 Jacob is Dom's brother so he has a muscle car but he cant have Dodge cus he's his own character so they give him the other popular muscle car brand Ford Mustang

They went full Avengers in this movies. Dom is the Hulk, Letty is Black Widow, Han is Hawkeye lol

I was waiting for you two to get to this one. I laughed my ass off in the movie theatre. But it is one of those movies, that no matter how ridiculous it gets, I can't get mad at it or call it bad.

With Fast 9 and 10 you just got to act like you watching a Marvel movie

The way dom describes the beat down scene from the first movie, is that he remembers clearly talking to the guy that put his father into the wall AND that he was utterly disrespectful of Dom's father. Dom remembers hitting him once (but wasn't entirely conscious that he was still holding the wrench) and then Dom says he went into like a dark haze and only then remembered being pulled OFF the other guy. So even though Dom stuck BACK - bringing up the self defense plausibility - self defence only goes so far. If you are struck once and then the person you hit back is beaten into a coma, that's excessive. also Dom was slapped whereas the other guy was beaten with a massive baseball bat sized iron wrench repeatedly. Self defense won't apply to that circumstance. that being said this scene does play out somewhat differently from Dom's previous description; I mean Jacob wasn't even a factor until THIS movie. lol.

I love how at the recap point Holden was just going on and on about the movies faults, and Jen was just patiently waiting for him to ask what she thought of it. I thought that was pretty funny. Also, I lost track of how many times you could tell that both of you just checked out from what was happening on screen.

I was hoping you guys would be posting Hobbs & Shaw first before Fast 9

The main plot problem of this movie is that Dom has always been talking about never abandoning family. Yet he literally kicked out Jacob. Now i get it, back then he wasn't as matured yet so that gives a few points of forgiveness. But still. I love the stunts in this movie, but this one is also on the weaker side for me. It's ridiculous that they went to space, buuut, I think I remember reading into that and finding that it would actually be possible. If the car is airtight and they have rockets with the correct thrust ratio, the math does add up. Riding piggyback on the plane is completely correct as well. In real life, the American space shuttle has in fact ridden piggyback on a Boeing 747 before. So that lines up. Funnily enough, the stunts that are the most unrealistic are the simpler ones. Catching Letty's fall with a car wouldn't change anything. The dirt is probably softer. haha But remember, we're here for the mindless fun. These movies break the rules that most movies have to otherwise follow. We're just having a good time.

Hobbs & Shaw definitely should of been done so hopefully we don't have to wait long for it to be reacted too.

You have skipped Hobbs and Shaw. The events of F9 and Fast X happen after Hobbs and Shaw, so the scenes involving Hobbs, Shaw and Shaw's mom in F9 and Fast X only make sense after the events of Hobbs and Shaw. For exemple, here in F9, Shaw discovers that Han is still alive but in Hobbs and Shaw, he still thinks that he killed Han.

Awesome Fact Young Dom is actually Vin Disel's Son which i liked about this one and how his own son did a great job portraying his legendary father :)

They actually worked with NASA scientists to make sure the space scene was accurate. According to NASA, it is Scientifically on point, which is wild lol

The most unrealistic thing in all of these movies the thing I just cant get past, is that Dom, Mr. Family himself had a secret brother that no one knew about 😅😅

I loved when this film came out and I watched it and smiled to myself happy at the thought that Tokyo Drift was no longer going to be labelled the worst in the series, mostly due to the fact I really liked Tokyo Drift

Once you realize that after Fast 7 the movies become self aware and very fan servicy you just go along with the ride. Most of TBD movies now feel like Vin Diesel pulled up the reddit of fast and furious future predictions and he is just figuring out how to encompass all the wacky theories as possible. Now no character death matters and no action scene is impossible.

I've always wondered if the fast series ever went back to the "basic" storyline of the og if it would bomb or actually due well at the box office. I feel now most go see them as a "let's see what crazy thing they do this time." It would be a good social experiment at the least anyways.

I happened to be in Tblisi, Georgia when they were filming the giant truck street magnet sequence. August 2019 they had one of the main streets blocked off during the day, they MESSED up some stores (paid them for it). At night they left a few of those big trucks on the side of the street. I usually hear mixed reviews regarding 8 & 9. Some who like one don't like the other

It's a shame that Universal still didn't want to invest in some good special effects to show Bryan O'conner in the movie, even for a few minutes.We know that within the script and the story of Fast and Furious, Bryan is not dead... But it seems inconceivable to me that knowing the brotherhood he feels for Dom, he would decide to step aside. I think the writers should give some closure to Bryan O'conner within the Fast and Furious universe.

Actually that's not entirely correct Holden. Yoda was ONLY CG when they made attack of the Clones. he WAS a Puppet when The Phantom Menace was made. And he remained a puppet for quite some time. However when the 2011 Bluray box set with all six movies was released Puppet-Yoda was replaced with a CGI one. I used to own the VHS copy of the Phantom Menace and Yoda is most obviously a Puppet. I challenge ANYONE to find a 1999 actual VHS copy of The Phantom Menace and observe for yourselves. Yoda WAS indeed a puppet.

Part of the reason why they’re making 10 of them is because Paul Walker in an old interview said that he wanted to make 10. IMO Fast X is a vast improvement over F9. Or as I like to call it “Fuh 9” 😂😂😂

This was the first movie I watched in the theater after Covid and I was laughing so hard through the whole thing my wife was embarrassed lol still just dumb fun

9 is easily my least favorite of the franchise its tough to get through but I genuinely enjoyed fast x so hopfully you will like it too

The Fast series car chases are basically like rolling a nat 20 in D&D. Every. Single. Time.

Timing in art is everything. F9 and F10 were gonna hit theatres back to back, just in time for the franchise's 20th anniversary. The pandemic pushed back the filming of F10 and release of F9. Justin Lin's returning as director for F9 was as good as expected. Story, action, humor and adding more characters (old and new) just couldn't be more exciting. With most of these sequels, you have to turn off your brain. Crazy stuff goes down and you just have to roll with it. The self-awareness in F9 was far from expected and very funny. But the milestone brought out so much love from the fans who kept up (including me). A tried and true, love letter to all this phenomenon. Fast 10 aka Fast X is gonna be a monster with director Louis Leterrier and some newer castmembers. Also pulling things back to earth after that overly crazy 'flying car' moment. Still would like Hobbs & Shaw 2. But the Fast Saga itself ending with more than 2 films is more than we can handle (I think).

fans love the Fast and Furious franchise for different reasons and everyone's favorite varies depending on how they relate to the characters and the story of that particular movie. some people miss the old stuff and hate the new stuff, some people love both, and some just like the big dumb action and familiar characters. its like an MCU for people who like cars and racing xD

I feel like F9 was more of a letter to the fans. From the celebrity guests. To space. To Han. To Ludacris calling reality and physics a "Dumbass". Like the overall message was "Shut up! Its just a movie" I do like Fast X better than 9 and 8 tho.
