I was practically giddy with excitement when I collected the IONIQ 5 but we all know my view of the car is irrelevant. What does Flaviana think of it? How are we going to pay for it? What’s all this about a deal? And why should I not be trusted with the accounts?

Definitely the most entertaining KZfaq EV channel. You are completely upstaged by your wife, but as you have already realised, that's the way to drive up the KZfaq revenue. I laughed out loud on a number of occasions because she speaks her mind and it's just so witty. You are Ernie Wise to her Eric Morecambe, and I mean that as a compliment. Keep the videos coming 😂

@@MrEV if you keep using high speed dc rapid chargers most of the time you will damage the batteries and get a lot less range from the battery best to mainly use a/c charging

When I brought the Niro EV home 2 years ago (traded in the Niro Hybrid), my wife was also "how much was this car?" and "was this necessary?". Now she loves the EV and when she has to drive an ICE for work she bitches about it to me EVERY time.

Don't get me wrong, I thing she is a great asset to the channel and all, but I think if a car company would hire her for pre launch user acceptance test, she would drive the designers crazy with statements like "I like little things, the more the better", few minutes after it will be "what are all those buttons, I can't understand this car." "This car looks ugly." Next day almost the same car design will look classy and brilliant... Sorry guys but I thing you just respond to her strong opinion.

we used to drive a first gen hyundai ioniq and I'm pretty sure hyundai uses the european design center in russelsheim germany for these models, could be wrong. if the germans and the international team needs a translation:-)

Great car and such fun to watch the interactions between you. The tax conversation was hilarious! You are also lucky with the pricing. I had a deposit on the Ioniq 5 in NZ..top spec costs an equivalent of about 55,000 pounds even though our VAT is only 15%. Bought something else as a result.

I wasn't sure whether to get the e-niro or the ioniq 5. Now after watched your videos for both of them, Mrs. EV has convinced me to get the ioniq 5. Loved the way she straight talks about the cars, cold hearted logical practicality views with a hint of personal style preferences, and never quote any of those useless technical numbers. Something I just thought of. Rear cupholders are great if you are carrying two passengers in the back seats ;one for each passenger. But if you are carrying three passengers, then No-one gets a cup holder. Ummm.

I enjoyed this far more than I expected! I planned to watch maybe 2 minutes as I was searching for something away from some of the horribly cringeworthy reviews produced by 'professionals' out there, but I ended up watching the full 50 minutes :O Mrs EV is brilliantly honest!! I hope some of the manufacturers watch this and start using clips of it in boardroom presentations on what to avoid for their next new car! I was in stitches at times, watching this!

Not to diminish Andrews considerable attention to detail but Flaviana is just a superstar with her ultra honest sometimes contrary points of view. there are points in this video that are simply hilarious and spontaneous. I found myself hanging on waiting for her next one liner. Super review brilliantly presented makes a welcome change to the often stuffy and witless car reviews we've all had to get used to, this couple are a breath of fresh air . They really should have more than 26k subscribers spread the word people these guys are great !! Subscribed and looking forward to seeing much more from this channel. Flaviana is back! Great review, the door armrest/grab handle is really nicely done and peasant blockers should keep the sun off the little ones in the back! Agree about touch screen. They are on so many new cars now and it's a horrible design. At least the Ioniq 5 is much better with some real buttons. The likes of VW, Audi, Merc... it's a real mess of distraction in those. That tax conversation was hilarious! Felt like a man getting found out for lying about how he bought all his toys! LOL Were you sweating? I was expecting you to turn on the AC :) Look forward to more Ioniq5!

Fantastic! in my EV research I had come to your trip fact videos rather late and ended up finding the videos that included your wife's real world opinions. This is a whole other dimension and by far the most engaging series of EV videos. It is deserving of standing with all the commercial backed presentations but I sure hope you don't loose the innocence of this delightful package - especially as Flaviana goes "self aware" 😁

The rear seats folding by lever is BY DESIGN - It's much faster. Can you imagine SLOWLY folding the seat down, when you need to transport stuff in the back? It is an awesome package and the best deal out there for the $$ imho.

I am an American born male with an Italian born wife (Bari). She could be Flaviana's older sister. Alora....She has a niece named Fabiana that lives in Bari but speaks English with the same exact Italian/English accent. Hearing Flaviana speak brings back memories, laughs and tears, especially when she says s**t. I particularly like the video titled "Wife Unleased" Keep up the good work and we'd like to see more of her in the videos.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love Flaviana's views on cars as a Car Is An Appliance view. She has the best descriptions a non-car person can understand. Just love the way she creates names from thin air. The only thing that intrigues me is the faster charger. But then again, I'll have to shorten my stops of relaxation. Hope for your sake that you keep the car for a while. Safe driving.

Good luck on the VIP. We looked at the Ionic 5 but in the end we have ordered the Model Y. The decision came down to range and charge costs plus available of fast charging in Ocala, FL. Your car is beautiful and your wife's personality should help your channel

The best video to date Andrew! Flaviana is great. So entertaining. “You click it!” had me in stitches. You two should have your own breakfast tv show. Also a helpful insight on the car. Hopefully Hyundai will come up with a Flaviana Spec following this review. Although did you say Mercedes I-pace Andrew at 14:15?

Flaviana 💗💗💗 I love that you’re keeping it real, as well as keeping most of the conversation uncut. It’s so refreshing to watch an unfiltered conversation of a regular married couple. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 top notch content. 💗 I have the Ioniq5 pre-ordered here in the USA and the solar panel isn’t even an option. But I went with the AWD in matte gray with teal/tan interior. I’m excited to finally test drive the car when the dealerships have the test drive samples in house… it’s said to be fall… so any day now. 🙏🏻
