If anyone doesn’t laugh and enjoy rush hour; they have no soul. Also, the 2nd I think is def the best imo. And I also think Jen would like the Owen Wilson Shang Hai movies better, b/c Tucker is love or hate comedic actor. Nah, jokes depend on the context they're put in. Some of this is a little jarring at first if you've never seen it before, because you don't know what's what. But these jokes end up being great once you learn that the FBI guys are being portrayed as assholes, Carter is an idiot, and Jackie is a nice guy just trying to be friendly/polite but not knowing any better. The film isn't trying to depict Carter as wise or right. He's the butt of the joke. It's not making the FBI the heroes. They're sort of lesser antagonists. And Jackie isn't treated as fully knowing what's going on, he's just blindly repeating what seemed to be polite. Context defines how everything lands.

One of the things Jackie Chan is well known for is implementing comedy with martial arts using everything around him to help him out. Also worth mentioning, notice how he always gets hurt and struggles in the fights but also comes out on top because he doesnt give up, he's just not the all-powerful hero. I think Jen just wasn't expecting the comedy and ridiculousness in the storyline, now knowing what to expect she's definitely gonna love the second one. Please also watch Shanghai Noon its another classic. Love the reactions hope the honeymoon went well!!

My recommendations for more Chris are Money Talks, Fifth Element and Friday. The rest for rush hours of course but one change up for him is Dead Presidents to see him in a more dramatic role. Holden definitely is justified in his level of respect for Jackie Chan. This dude puts in work and has broken his body to bring surprisingly wholesome entertainment to the world for, what, 400 years now? Others can claim the same, but he's not bringing any weird stigmas along with it, like the full force of Scientology in his back pocket the way a cornball like Tom Cruise does. The guy lives life like a superstar, but when you see him in interviews, he seems like a genuinely friendly guy who would give you a few minutes with a giant smile if he could spare the time. In fact, he seems _so_ squeaky clean, I almost worry about a day that an email account gets leaked and we learn some sort of Bill Cosby-esque secrets... But that guy has had rumors for years. I really haven't heard anything negative about Jackie Chan. Either he's managed to remain a pure human being, or China's censorship is 2legit.

I recommend that you react to "The Forbidden Kingdom". Jackie Chan is also in this movie, along with Jet Li. Good action along with a story line.

Just hearing Holden laugh and seeing Jen changing her opinion mid way through the movie is just amazing and fun to watch.

I grew up watching Jackie chan animated adventures and at the end of every episode there will a clip where Jackie chan answers one question from kids , it was like learning the "moral of the day" that you get from school from a person who actually practices it. Nice to know Holden is a fan of " who am I " a very underrated movie. You should show her one his songs he is a very good singer.

This is such a classic, I'm sure you'll enjoy all 3. If you like the Rush Hour movies you should definitely watch Shanghai Noon after.

Jackie Chan is not someone to look up to outside of their work in the movies...as is the case with most actors. The old adage about meeting your heroes exists for a reason.

Brooooo this I what we needed, Jackie Chan movies from 90s and 2000s are some of the best action movies. They are all underrated

Jackie's _Who Am I?_ is SO underrated. Recorded it onto VHS from the TV and watched it over and over when I was a kid.

I love the Rush Hour franchise. My favorites are 2 and 3. To me the first one was really cool. The first time I watched this franchise me and my brother sat down and watched all 3 movies in one day and it was freaking great. Jen you're gonna love this franchise if you love buddy cop movies

I totally get Jens reaction, I think it is one of those films that we all hold close to our hearts because we grew up with them. And it's hard to absolutely love a film like this when you're watching it for the first time in 2022 haha

this was my favorite movie as a kid of course other than spiderman 2. some kids brought the power rangers or toy story when they had to stay at their grandparents, but i brought rush hour and austin powers. i even brought it to 2nd grade show and tell. Love this movie

i like how he said jackie chan wouldn't do that.....the guy cheated on his wife and had another kid I believe with said mistress. I suppose he doesn't know because hes Chinese and it was frowned upon so not really in the news etc

Holdens reaction was great. Somedqy people will realize that watching reaction channels is more about confirmation of your feelings. It's a gamble with first time reqctors but those who have already seen the movie will be "singing along' with you and quoting things which is great
