I actually think Denmark will top their group, they're such a solid team and play together so well. I wouldn't be surprised of course if France do beat them in the group stages, but I really wouldn't underestimate Denmark.

Only a fool would underestimate Denmark at this point, they aren't a dark horse anymore they're a top 10 european team. I think they'll finish 2nd but comfortably, winning every game except against France

Who are you nervous about? Tunisia aren't really at your level and our (Aus) international team was so arrogant they nearly bottled WC qualification like 5 games out only needing 1 win, we only got saved because of last chance. From a realistic standpoint the only uncertainty is if you pull off a master-class and pip France to top of the group lol. Edit: I get it now, just had a scroll and yea.. everyone backing you to go far would have me worried for a massive jinx too lmao

If i were a Denmark fan, i'd be pretty worried rn. Most of the times, when everyone picks the same team as the underdog, they end up doing pretty badly and flop. Just like Turkey in the Euros, Mark and many more even had them all the way in the semis! Don't get me wrong, Denmark hv a lot of quality, but i just have that feeling that they won't do as well as expected .

I think the heat will play a massive factor. I definitely see Brazil and Argentina handling it but the likes of England and Germany won't. The games will be played in bursts so I could see mbappe doing something magic with his pace

I've seen a lot of predictions and almost everyone is predicting the Asian teams to finish bottom of their group or 3rd. Actually Some of those teams are more than capable of causing an upset and even getting out of the group especially since the tournament is in Asia.

"I dont think Argentina are quite good..." They havent loss a match in 35 games and they beat Brazil, winning their first cup on the opponents turf. Besides their playstyle being a bit one dimensial with the main center-piece being Messi, they play around him exceptionally well, including having a lot of momentum and new starters that provide this team with so many threats for the opposition. Their biggest strength is probably their pressing and how willing their players are to defend.

Exactly..Cant believe Mark is telling that they have QUALITY players and not convinced..having quality players WITHOUT a system is useless. ARG 2018 proved that....But after Scaloni took over...he has made some brilliant tweaks in the system, and also by going for a rough physical midfield but tactical as well. And the KEY factor is that the players are willing to die on that football field. I dont see ONE Arg player who doesnt go in for a 50-50 challenge

Looking at the field just drives me crazy that Southgate is Three Lions manager… their squad is so talented, even with James and Chilwell out who I think should’ve been starting fullbacks, that I think they’d be at worst 2nd favorites to win it all with a decent manager, because no one else wows me. France I think could repeat but feel like they’ll self-destruct from clashing egos. So I think it’s Brazil and then everyone else

@@JW-zr4ju not English but might as well give my 2 cents. Id play 433. Goalkeeper has to be between Pope or Ramsdale because Pickford is just much worse than both imo. Ramsdale should be starting because he's probably the most fundamentally complete of the 3, great distribution particularly. Centre half should be John Stones along with Ben White. Stones is a great player, I don't really rate White as highly because he's played better at right back this season but the other options are Coady and Maguire so yeah. I would have picked Tomori but he's not even in the squad. Tripper is the best available right back at the moment, don't rate Shaw that highly but nobody else is available at left back. Midfield should Rice as CDM with Bellingham ahead of him and maddison playing as a 10. For the front 3, striker has to be Kane. Saka should be on the right along with Foden on the left.

As an attempt to answer your question on why England are always such low odds: it's probably because you are looking at UK betting sites/domains where the majority of those, if not all, are British. They are more likely to put a bet on England to win it than someone in Amsterdam. The bookies don't want to lose a hell of a lot of money so have to make the odds way worse than they should be.

Think Argentina will win it. If you look at Argentina’s games they rarely concede goals and if they do it’s usually 1 goal, they haven’t really played any big names that often like France, England, Germany Spain but they still are good defensively and now have Martinez joining the cb hopefully as a starter now, they also haven’t lost a game since 2019. We all know the attacking threat of Argentina so I think it comes down to if Argentina’s midfield can turn up and help them take control of games. Think Argentina will win it imo. Game changing attacking players, very good of defensively, momentum of not losing in a game in 3 years, they just won the copa america as well and a decent group. 🇦🇷🇦🇷 for me all the way

Disagree with you on a couple of group standings: Ecuador is going through in second place and Senegal are not; Wales will go through in second place; and Germany will pass ahead of Spain. Regarding the knockouts, Argentina will beat Denmark and reach the final, where I think they’ll beat Brazil. They are not only full of individual quality, but also play very pro active and flowing/dynamic footballing style. All the best mark, keep up the good work!

Why are switzerland always so underrated? They normally perform really well and ironically enough they had Serbia and Brazil in the WC 2018 groups and beat Serbia 2-1 and played 1-1 against Brazil to be second in the group. Also last Euros they held their own against France and Spain (won against France on penalties and lost against Spain on penalties). Switzerland usually performs very well against the non "big nations" and are even good for the odd surprise against those big teams, yet they seem to never be rated by anyone, as can be seen that many rate them beneath Serbia even though they beat them in the last head to head, play in a higher Nations League and held their ground (how ever much that counts) and are generally almost permanently higher in the FIFA rankings. I find it curious how the perception can be so skewed.

Out of 100 predictions i saw 90 had Switzerland over Serbia so i dont think they are underrated at all, also both Switzerland and Serbia have been mostly good recently so it will be close probably

It’s way more entertaining than europe by farrr. Ecuador are just the far more hungrier and younger team than Netherlands so I back them to win all 3 games.

The African teams may have an advantage with the heat. Senegal is a really good squad despite missing Mane. England will struggle to beat them I think. Brazil probably the favourites overall but it's a very unpredictable WC I think we will see quite a few shocks
