We all know the Fox X2 has had its reliability issues; will the new RockShox Vivid Air take its place as the reigning king of downhill-ready air-shocks? Dan spent the day cycling it in our hand dyno to find out. Catch the whole video here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f76oic6iq-CZiHU.html

@@fixerupperermuch better idea to use a machine for this boring, menial, unreasonable task that they say they repeat for every shock. It is good exercise, but couldn't that man better use his skills somewhere else in the bike shop, that would lead to greater profit margins, success, and happiness for everyone in the shop? He is not a mindless slave, and the machinery is not overly advanced or out of reach. Invest in machine in this example. Let man spend his work hours and mind for better work. I haven't ridden the latest versions of either, so unfortunately I can't give a personal preference. Both bikes are made by companies that I like, and they are pretty similar in terms of intended use. I think either would probably be a ton of fun for your purposes, so I might suggest going with the one you can get a better deal on or, if that's not a consideration, whichever one has better components, or that you think looks better! - Dan P.
