The ideas for the video came about from happenstance, but they fit the song so well. The rules written on the walls, the cows eating steaks, the gorilla in a caged area, and the animal masks fit Animal Farm (George Orwell). They actually used the masks in a couple videos (a cheap way to add drama and a certain feel to the videos). The dogs playing poker ties back to a thing that I don't know if it reached anywhere but the US, but there were a series of paintings on of dogs playing poker on black velvet. As for the horror feeling, the bike in the hallway was a shout out to The Shining. That a Kubrick horror thriller. And his look, can, and walk are inspired by A Clockwork Orange. It is also a Kubrick film. He references Kubrick a lot.

Watching this at 5am and your misheard lyrics just gave me flashbacks to a fucked up Japanese movie I watched recently. Sometimes when you read comments where people talked about how messed up a movie is, you really shouldn’t listen to your brain going “how bad can it be?” 🤦‍♀️ 😅 Anyway this might be the only Ren song where I don’t love the acoustic version even more. And it’s simply because I really love the yumyumyumyum 😂
