Wow. You should be making more. I’m saying that just because of the vids I have seen or the titles and the pics of what I see. You have A LOT of things that I want to do or to have done. Also if if I hire someone I can see if they are doing it right or close enough by using other methods. An idea I don’t see a lot of and is greatly needed: How NOT to get ripped off BEING A FEMALE when dealing with a male industry like construction, cars, home maintenance, lawns, fireplaces, remodeling anything and not getting ripped off or even worse “assaulted”. I speak from experience on that and I am a careful woman. My father was former military and because I’m small he taught me how to defend myself and I had to use that knowledge. I was so embarrassed, I felt stupid and I almost didn’t call the police but I did when a male friend from church told me I should. The police told me I did the right thing. They told me I wasn’t stupid. They told me I was careful but I was dealing with a sick mind. That has kept me from doing a lot of things around my home. I know it sounds simple to just have somebody over while you’re getting a quote but sometimes that is not always possible when it’s during the week and everybody works. Or in 2020 everybody was on lockdown except for construction and that’s when that happened to me. No, I have no idea what kind of solution or suggestion you could make outside of having somebody else over but perhaps having somebody on the phone? Believe me I thought about it A LOT. There’s a lot of people ripping off other people that are seen as weaker. That could be a woman or it could be a man even. It does happens to women and men is what the police told me. Sorry for getting off subject. Maybe make your some of your videos to marketing single and capable females or even men that have to hire someone due to lack of tools, experience etc. Females can be incredibly loyal to a channel. I have experienced that myself and have watched it happen as well. Having lost my husband young I had to learn how to do a lot myself since I was then a single parent and couldn’t afford hiring someone to do a job. Everything from troubleshooting AC/Heating issues, replacing a thermostat, garbage disposal stuck or replaced or something as simple (but it’s not) getting the right AC air filter. I discovered the cheapest one works the best on my 1” thick filter. The 4” ones don’t have the air flow issues due to the amount of material that the air runs through. I’ve seen and use a lot of videos that compare different products and which is best for a particular situation. For instance I need to learn about fencing because I need to replace my fence. What kind of wood should I get? What kind of treatment? Should it be treated at all? Should it be wood or something else? All the questions you would ask yourself if you had to replace your fence. Also living in So. Cal., which I’m not happy about, we have a big water issue. DWP literally has people checking lawns to make sure they’re not using water on the wrong day. So now I have a deal with my backyard that is mostly dead and the rest is dirt. I have two dogs and I no longer sit in front thanks to Covid. So keeping a house clean means I have to get rid of the dirt so my two dogs don’t drag in a bunch of dirt on my hardwood floors and I have to get quotes. I need to figure out how to hard scape half of my yard and use gravel around the fences plus putting in either turf or sod for the other 30 x 20-ish area. I noticed a lot of channels that compare products usually get free products sent to them for comparison. That might be a good way for you to get different types of tools or other products that you may use..? I don’t even know what questions to even ask in order to get a good quote with a good company. I can’t go buy reviews because I learned my lesson the hard way because good reviews do not always mean that you’re dealing with good people. Even referrals from a friend is not that dependable. I had a construction team come in here to redo my kitchen and I had to fire them because even though I told them what I wanted they were pressuring me into getting some thing I didn’t want, MDF cabinets, and they thought just because they ripped out the kitchen I would have no other choice. But they didn’t expect that I fired them on the spot. I lost money but I darn sure wasn’t going to be bullied into something I didn’t want. Also anything you do to your car/truck for maintenance. My father was a mechanic so I knew how to do all that stuff but you’d be surprised on how many women do not know how to even check their oil. Something they can blow up their car and in this economy single mothers cannot afford buying a new car just because their oil ran low. Anything electrical like plugs and switches. I have heard being connected to a site to buy supplies is a good place to start. Especially if you can offer any discounts. Merch-maybe lean towards memes. Especially ones that are funny about things you actually run across in life…marriage, puppy potty training(too late for that) stuff like that. A friend of mine did really well with that in an entirely different category of topics. Now that you’re married you probably are noticing how much you do that maybe your wife wouldn’t do or couldn’t do. I think about those things. It may be easy for you but is it easy for her? I will stop writing my novel. Forgive me because my background is construction. So I’m not stupid but I sure don’t know a lot. Especially when it comes to taking care of an older home built in 1951. A lot of my job, jobs, has been based on saving money without depleting quality. I also was responsible for making sure the process went smoothly. So I dealt with numbers and many types of vendors. I had to make sure everyone in the company knew exactly what was going on with each job at any given time. Process process process! It’s not that easy when you’re doing your own home for some reason. Again being female it makes it even harder dealing with a predominantly male industry. No matter what you tell them they will always think a woman is stupid, for the most part that’s how those companies work. Again I’m so sorry this is so long but my job has always been details and details matter. Especially when you’re dealing with a limited budget. I hope something in this novel will help you. I really like the videos that I’ve seen so far and I appreciate your transparency and reaching out. I have a lot of respect for that and I wish you the very best!🙏🏻👍🙏🏻

Excellent rundown, and enjoyable format and presenting skills. I always find this kind of video fascinating. I also like your realism with the numbers, it really gives one a sense of what a given level of effort will payout. I've toyed with the idea of recording some of my projects, but all the other stuff like figuring out the revenue, editing, etc., just seems insurmountable, probably because I have zero interest in those kinds of things. But showing how I built something or solved a problem, that I like. Maybe I'll reconsider.
