Mrauk U is an archaeologically important town in northern Rakhine State, Myanmar. It is also the capital of Mrauk-U Township, a sub region of the Sittwe District. It was the capital of Mrauk U Kingdom, the most important and powerful Rakhine (Arakanese) kingdom, from 1430 to 1785.
Mrauk U, früher Mrohaung, ist eine archäologisch bedeutende Stadt innerhalb des Rakhaing-Staates, im Westen Myanmars. Sie liegt östlich vom Kaladan Fluss und wird nördlich sowie südlich von Hügeln umkreist.
Das Umland von Mrauk U stellt nach dem Irrawaddy-Delta die zweitwichtigste Reisproduktionsstätte Myanmars dar. Heute ist Mrauk U vorwiegend eine archäologische Stätte. Sie liegt etwa eine Zweitagesreise von Rangun oder eine 3-5 stündige Bootsfahrt von Akjab über den Kalanda-Fluss entfernt. Rund um Mrauk U blieben eine Vielzahl von Pagoden, Tempeln und religiösen Gebäuden erhalten, die seit der Gründung im Jahr 1431 errichtet wurden.
Mrauk U ist vorwiegend eine buddhistische Stätte. Die Santikan-Moschee (Sindhi-Khan-Moschee) südöstlich der Stadt stammt aus dem 15./16. Jahrhundert.

"laid back relax" life is good if ur junta member. We have goat race / rat race etc cos lots of folks are trying to up their lot in life all at once and many get shot down in process. In junta run societies, wealth is concentrated and social mobility doesn't exist. It's good for folks who wanna.holiday but unless.ur political elite this kinda life would be brutal. Most Indians today wouldn't even do long distance bussing on a Nesamony or Thiruvallur quality bus of the 80s. And pray to God u have a green citizenship card not a red one.

Those are used in liueof carabao in farming we call them kulig-lig in the philippines. Farmers usualy attach trailers on them to transport farm produ t and other material and even people.

The bus in the thumbnail is a 1940s Chevrolet. Many were left behind by US troops after WW II. Some still survive. Till the 1980s, in the Socialidt era, India also had such trucks and buses. Now they are scrapped because of pollution laws and that better trucks are available.

However Myanmar has started to change from old ways useless leadership to new ways of modern leaders. Anyway , thank you for uploading 👍👍👌👌

Primitive cars just exist in burma...and they are used in rural area only... if they used in town they can be dangerous ones ...and very noisy....and they are not comfortable means of transformation. The government has no money to buy vehicles for its people since it is still poor and burma is the country of cleansing the ethnic of rohingya.

Knpa myanmar nampak miskin,sebab tanah nya gersang, hasil bumi negaranya kurang mengahasilkan duit . Pada tahun 2019 sja myanmar GDP US 50 milyar sja/tahun. Sedangkan GDP Singapura negara yang sebesar telapak tangan dah mencapai US 360 MILYAR/tahun. Kalau GDP Indonesia dah termasuk G20 yaitu US 1,2 Triliun /tahun. Dengan besar hati saya ucapkan Alhamdulillah karena Allah titipkan saya tinggal di Indonesia.
