Update on US-backed fighting in Southeast Asia's Myanmar...
- Myanmar's military ousted a US-installed government in 2021, the US has backed armed militancy and terrorism across Myanmar ever since;
- Fighting has see-sawed, but has done so for decades as the US and British have backed armed ethnic groups since Myanmar gained independence following World War 2;
- The US has built parallel institutions both inside and beyond Myanmar's borders to politically capture and compromise the nation;
- US-backed militants have relied on public relations stunts including symbolic drone and rocket strikes on the capital and the temporary capture of frontier towns where government forces are spread thinnest;
- The conflict is ultimately part of a wider agenda of encircling and containing China;
- China's Belt and Road Initiative runs through Myanmar and has been repeatedly attacked by US-backed militant groups;
- The conflict is just one part of a wider global conflict the US is waging in order to reassert its unipolar "international order;"

is there any books or references you can suggest that explicitly map out the patterns and plans of the strategy of US-led colonialism. I find that the details of each case, and written about by newspapers and news organisations tend to obfuscate the same underlying patterns. Is there a book for example, "Divide and Conquer, with case studies and Examples, How the United States does it"? Or a book titled "NED: the global takeover playbook", or something like this? Only by looking at Ukraine for months, and now Israel, do the patterns emerge, but too late. I feel like we need to get in front of this. And for example, how von der Leyen said when re-elected she wants to create a european military industrial complex to pump up the economy... isnt this what gave rise to the 3rd Reich?

The reason they use subversion is because they can't use democratic means to achieve their aims. Their economic and social polices - neo-imperialist extractive corporatism - are simply too unpopular. Who, after all, wants to be a neo-colony of western monopoly capitalism? The Americans keep insisting that neoliberal capitalism is so efficient and so natural to the human condition yet wherever its been tried it's lead to abject failure and left devastated and pillaged communities in its wake. Coups and colour revolutions are therefore the only way they can achieve control. Anglo-Americans simply don't know how to work in a win-win way; western Europeans in general. Their mindset is win-lose, not win-win; conflict not cooperation.

Perhaps China will eventually be able to bring some form of stability to Myanmar through its Belt and Road Initiative, especially as its economy thrives vis‐à‐vis that of the USA. As Asia becomes more integrated economically the hope will be that some of the prosperity that may come as a result will bring improvements in the lives of ordinary people in Myanmar such as to bring about raised living standards and political stability. The USA will then no longer be able to feed on the discontent caused by lack of socio-economic development.

The years of growth with western engagement were exponential and unprecedented. Vastly improved economy and infrastructure that has been set back decades because of the coup. It went from nearly 24 hour electricity supply year round, to now the major cities getting 8-12 hours of electricity a day and villages being lucky to have 2-3. Don't have to think too hard about why the people are all against the military. If China hadn't hitched their horse to the junta so quickly, they would not have the terrible reputation they do across the country.

One thing to note is that China is not really friendly to Myanmar's junta government, nor is it against the previous democratic government who wanted to have friendly relations with China. Neither the military government or the Aung San Suu Kyi led government have enough influence or firepower to entirely quell the numerous and powerful warlords and local ethnic militias; they have to rely on China to inject some stability into a very chaotic and unstable country. Some militia forces are very friendly to China like Wa state, Kokang, Kachin (part of an alliance) but China so far is very hands off and is content to not interfere. Western media tends to focus on the People's Defense Force rebels in Myanmar but most Chinese are interested in Northern area rebels (Kokang and Shan state, not associated with PDF) and their struggle against the Bai family's crime ring.

I appreciate your reports on the Southeast Asia and South Asia (overall Asian continent) most. There's not many who cover this and have the inside and in-depth knowledge of the region like you do. Thank you for your work. This may be well out of your knowledge and is less relevant to present-day geopolitical tensions, but I wondered what you know about Nepal's Maoist insurgency and the Royal massacre? Has there been any US or Indian interference in the forthcoming of those events? I have been trying to dig myself but realise that I do not have the comprehension to decode the type of 'talk' in US files. To me most reports seem ordinary, but when I see how you read these there's much that comes to light, which is felt or somewhat subconsciously known (by many). I find it difficult to discern where their interest lays/laid and how to interpret this in their way of reporting.

Thank you for this education and as a business person I often questioned myself has to why it is such challenge to survive in this environment and why people that are so inept always given opportunities, this education you and others have been providing, has some how allowed us to connect the dots and we can now answer why, it is a control mechanism to have useless and inexperienced leaders who with sheer ignorance sell their country to hegemony. The world is transcending from this wither they like it or not, due to their inability to evolve to meet 21st century challenges and the world is imploding and it is time for them to go and allow new blood in. Their inability to see this and make the necessary changes to remain relevant, will inevitably lead to their demise and what happens to their population they do not care. Their are always solutions and we will overcome this with pain and hard work and this is something we know how to do. Remain blessed.

At this point, the "resistence" in Myanmar is indeed just a nihilist force for destruction. While the military risked very much with the coup in 2021 it seems like they now have majority support within the country

So 3 armed groups against government forces. If they are able to defeat the government forces are the 3 groups going to lay down their arms, hold elections and get along or will they Balkanize Myanmar?

Don't fool yourself by expecting humanity and ethics from a country, who built on genocide of 130 million indigenous Mississippian, Pueblo, Aztec , Inca peoples Between the late 15th and late 17th centuries , the only country in the world to have unleashed the power of an atomic bomb on a civilian population and they did it twice. More than 906,000 people, including 387,000 civilians, died directly from post-9/11 wars. Another 38 million people have been displaced or made refugees.Around 1,500,000 Iraqis, primarily children, died as a direct consequence of the imposed sanctions, according to UNICEF estimates. Around 2 million civilians were killed in the territories of North and South Vietnam, in the Vietnam war. “There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people.” ― Howard Zinn

Brian, thank you for your video! Today is Victory Day! Happy Victory Day! Immortal memory to all fighters against Nazi! There are words from poem of Sosnovsky describing their incredible courage and heroism, unfortunately only in Russian: Мы устоим любой ценой Гранат не хватит - своё сердце Должны мы бросить в танк стальной, Чтоб танку разлететься! Nazi are alive but they will be won
