Mapa is not part of the pagtatag Album. My Apologies (King Bro). With that said Mapa should have definitely been on this Album In my biased opinion. I hope everyone enjoy this RV. We absolutely love ILaw because it’s so personal for their careers so far. You can absolutely see this song in your own way even if you are not superstars like these young Gentlemen are because of the feelings expressed in this song are so passionate. PABLO honestly is the best composer, lyricist I've seen. His mind and vulnerability combined...its magical. It will hit you straight to your heart.. The world deserves to hear all the songs he composed. He composed this song years ago. This is during those times when they are just starting. They are giving everything they have and all they get are not praises. They only have each other to talk to. No one is listening to their cry even if they see it in their own eyes or hear it directly from them. Those were tough times and these five will never forget. Thats why until now they stayed grounded.❤

When you said about “a label that’s like controlling them,” you got it right. They felt so constrained before with the former company, not really able to express their true musicality and goal. On top of that, they were under strict rules (a thing that is like what some Korean entertainment companies are known for) as in they were shamed in public, made to work even when really sick, not given salary for months, etc. But they had to hold on since they knew it was the (lime) light they were seeking. A staff took pity on them and sneaked them into a carnival one night so they could unwind and recoup even for just a while, and that is why the carousel is so symbolic to them that they used it as backdrop in Freedom and in other videos. 😊 Hope you get to react to more of their songs.

Notice the manner of their singing. It's like a shout for help. They started calm, then shouting then almost crying, then desperate. Like the stages of grief: Denial, anger, bargaining, depression then acceptance of their fate.

Pablo (Leader) said that they'll release 3 EPs with 6 tracks each. They've released 2 already -- PAGSIBOL (in English means sprouting) and PAGTATAG (in English means strengthening). 1. PAGSIBOL tracks What? Mana MaPa Ikako Bazinga SLMT 2. PAGTATAG tracks Gento I Want You Crimzone Ilaw Liham Freedom 3. That’s the best thing about SB19 songs, so meaningful and there’s always an “easter egg” hidden. You have to dig deep to their songs and be mind blown when you get the true meaning of the lyrics and metaphors and how they sing each lines. Truly a masterpiece. Kudos to Pablo for creating these songs and also to the whole SB19 for portraying what these songs really meant 👏

Hope you can react to their performance of this song on Rappler. Ilaw is the spotlight. And you are spot Mark's interpretation. The line that ilaw brought them to where they are, but sometimes they just want to them the light. Pablo is so good at using puns, metaphor, symbolisms in their songs. ❤ You may also want to react to the lyric vid of Nyebe (snow). A go-to song for those who are feeling hopeless.

This Song ilaw means light it refers to limelight . Their life as celebrities exposed to scrunity of haters , no privacy . Sometimes people has high standard for them so sometimes they want to rest & to be heard . The y also want to be accepted as they are. But they love & grateful to us - Atin . SB19 especially Pablo he wrote with deeper meaning . He is poetic . Most of their song are about their experienxces in life. Please reacts also to their visualizer Nyebe or Snow. My #1 favorite SB19 songs. I love the video but the live performances of this emotion-packed song were all incredible. This song showcased not just Pablo's versatile voice...yes...that was him with that screaming, pleading part...but all of their voices. Thank you again for the honest reaction. Hi, guys! The song is indeed personal to them, especially to its writer (Pablo). They even became emotional in some of their performances of the song during concerts. I hope you can also react to their Rappler and/or Round Festival (Indonesia) performances of the same song. Both were truly heartfelt. Adlibs, especially of Pablo, are insane. Ilaw in Tagalog means Light or Lamp. This song is the group expression of their struggles before they are being recognized. Even how hard they tried before, they were just judged as another copycat. But they never stopped even they are already at the edge of being disbanded. They made each other as their inspiration. Until they produced their own and first song Tilaluha (literally means ‘seems like tears’) and further boosted their recognition with their ‘Go Up’ song. And now their hardships had been paid up. They are now reaping the fruit of their hard works and made known not only locally but the world.
