Yeah, rock dominated the 2000s like with nu-metal and alt rock (I don't like saying emo because mcr isn't and I feel offended when people stereotype them like that, just my opinion). Nowadays it's just mumble rap and hip hop and whatever, but I don't like it to be honest.

My brother sang this song with his 2 other friends in my small Christian middle school's talent show. My mother loved this song ever since. She died on the 10th of December 2020, only 55 years old. I'll always think of her (and my brother) when I listen to mcr. Love you mama.

As much as people joke about how emo this song is, I really think the lyrics are genius. They're not just about the pain of his loss (which btw, this song is about his grandma Helen passing), they're actively talking about how much of a joy she was to everyone around her, how much just one person gave to this world. Not just to him either, but to the entire crowd attending the funeral. The scene of her getting out of her coffin, the world frozen to her as a ghost, giving one last goodbye to everyone who loved her.
