recently sold mine. I'm glad to get most of money back. the technology is getting old and the updates have taken years to finally become close to what it was supposed to be. I'm sure we are getting close to a Remarkable 3 soon... but think I'll go back to a regular tablet.

Voice typing works on iOS. Just tried it. Didn’t realise that. Bonus.

Two fingers scroll: maybe the two fingers are too close together; try placing your fingers a bit apart.

I'm not sure if Remarkable is unable or just unwilling to implement (more) basic features. There are for example several developers that let you upload custom templates onto the device easily (but then your warranty is gone). Why don't Remarkable do it themselves or at least collaborate with these developers? From my experience with this company I have to assume that they're holding back several features to use them as leverage for a (rather another) exploitative subscription model...

You can copy and paste into the mobile app, so on my z fold, I can copy something from an email and then paste it into the mobile app

For those who use other alphabets, I can tell you that if I write in Greek from my iphone, the text appears in Greek on the Remarkable!

On the more recent 3.3 beta, they have a button for changing to 1x zoom, and also a "prompt" that shows the zoom amount. There's also bold and italic text option now, and quite a lot of tweaks to refresh and gestures. But it being a beta, there were quite a few crashes and bugs, more than I have ever encountered on the rM 2, hoping they fix it before going public with 3.3, or maybe they'll skip 3.3 and go straight 3.4 like how they kinda skipped 3.1 for public I suppose?

When it comes to the typed text I mostly just wanna be able to move it with the selection tool. orz I don't have issues with scrolling, unless I do it too soon after another input perhaps. Finally deleting the quick sheets indeed.

I’m impressed it converted your handwritten notes to text. Those notes are bad lol but ok the fact that the device could “read” and convert your handwriting was impressive

You ran into the same issue I have been having with convert to text - that is that it does not recognize blank lines. It just concatenates all the text into one long string. How frustrating. My Livescribe notebook and pen lives on!

Hi. I just want to share with you something. I am still contemplating getting the keyboard folio. I have iPhone and iPad Pro with keyboard case (not Apple) for years. As a forever journey of experimenting a perfect workflow- I kept experimenting what is best - Note app, OneNote, GoodNote, RM2. Owning both an iPad and the RM2 is quite interesting. I tested the RM2 mobile app on the iPad - thinking if I use that then there is no need to buy the RM2 folio. I was disappointed (for now) as the software kept bringing up the RM2 on screen keyboard - which cover half the page of the iPad; and when I minimise the on screen keyboard, the iPad wireless keyboard won’t work (type type type but no text). And my current iPad keyboard case has no portrait mode. So now I either have to order the RM keyboard folio… Or pair a small wireless keyboard with my iPhone, which I can use in portrait mode…. My point is - I was asking myself - is it a business and financial strategy that - 1) the RM iPad app blocking the keyboard when the onscreen keyboard is minimise?? 2) not allowing Bluetooth function for RM2 to connect to any universal Bluetooth keyboard???!??!!! there isn’t even a way to plug in a hardware usb keyboard….

Deleted quick sheets. Then created a quick sheet on the iOS app on my iPad. It does not show up on the RM or on the app screen unless you try to add another quick sheet an d the choose the option to see all of the quick sheet pages. Of course, all this still resides in trash unless you have emptied the trash. Buggy.

Hi, Voja. How well can Type Folio hold the marker when is closed? Book folio prevents it to slip up or down and overall it helps a lot to hold marker. So, what is the difference in holding the marker on Type Folio and Book Folio? When scrolling the page with two fingers, you have to put them a little apart otherwise it wouldn't notice. But I think it works quite well.

Scrolling works fine, if you spread your two fingers a little bit.

Looks like you have the same tracker (tractive) on your cat as I have for my dog. Does it work well for you?

They are shipping the KB cover now. I got mine today. I like it so far.

I had such high hope for this device. Not sure how much of this was affected by the pandemic but reMarkable's inflexibility as it pertains to their software and interoperability with the device notes and the conversion and transfer to a document is very disappointing. They offer improvements which should have already been part of the device.

Who knew the reason they didn't add advanced note taking functionality to the device at launch wasn't because they wanted to keep it simple, but was instead because they didn't know how? 😏 Edit: I can't help but notice it converted Blarg to Beary for your written email sign off. I feel like Mobiscribe wouldn't have, and it makes me wonder if Remarkable has some kind of autocorrect happening.

What I really dislike is that the remarkable only appends the converted text to my notebook as a new page.

You're doing it wrong - scrolling is with ONE finger. Pinch+zoom and sideways scroll is two fingers. Works very well on my rM1. What is missing is that there's no indicator if you have content further down a page (when you're at the top of a page on an endless page, 100% zoom). The only way to find out is to scroll down... Otherwise - great video! 👍

It would be great if we can "lock" a notebook not to be able to zoom.

This is a paper pad replacement not a type writer replacement.

Too many problems with a single device to be able to buy it 100% satisfied. Even not 70 % satisfaction . Sorry.

That's why the whole reMarkable platform is flawed, having to reinvent the wheel for basic functionality like select/copy/paste/format. An Android based platform will always have the advantage as it can reuse standard operating system features for things like this, including on-screen keyboards etc.

Is this launch (non-beta users) or beta?
