I could listen to Norah all the day and night through. She's got this gift of a sultry, jazzy, air in her voice. Her music is beautiful in meaning. I heard "Don't Know Why" around 2002 and was transfixed with the lyrics and sublime vocals, also the gorgeous piano absolutely heightened the feeling. I had no idea for a long time that she was the pianist as well, then I found out she was Ravi's daughter, then I found out she was gorgeous, inside and out. I don't mean that from a "pretty" angle as much as "yum", has all she needs to be happy.

You deserve every good thing that comes to you Norah. Sinatra started out singing for nickles in taverns. All of the really *gifted* people worked really hard for their *gift*.

I have never seen this interview before but I am I love with Norah Jones all over again. I saw her in Toronto years ago but that first album will always stay with me. She is the essence of creativity and musicianship. A marvel to experience live and moreover a genuine icon.

If I saw her in a pool hall, I probably wouldn't think it was her because she isn't dressed to be noticed or even ultra-hip like Gwen Stefani or Beyonce always are. And I'm guessing she doesn't have an entourage everywhere she goes.
