I am atheist, never believed in God all my life and I am 40 years old. I always believed in science. However, listening to this man is so fascinating and it's opening my mind a little. Between all religions, I am starting to feel that Judaism is the only one that is worth investing time, effort and curiosity...it does make sense to me...

Thought you might find this interesting. A little note I wrote to myself one day after spending some time with Papa. Papa saving me was always part of His eternal truth. He caught me long before I fell, no matter how many times I fall. Ours is an eternal, living relationship. I truly hope you will seek Him. He said if we did, we will find Him. He will make Himself known to us. I wish I hadn’t wasted time not knowing Him.🤗

I notice that a lot of Jewish prophecies have come true after studying their books. For an instance in Jeremiah chapter 13 claims that 2/3 of the Jews will be cut down and the rest will be molded into silver. 2/3 of the European Hebrews were slain by the Germans in WW2 and afterwards became a nation and hosea 3:4-5 prophesize the Jewish exiled and their eventual return to isreal as well

Thank you Rabbi Friedman. God Bless You More...🙏❤ It doesn't have to be too complicated also. Any sensible and thinking individual will get it right away. That is why the Torah began with Creation--Creator. Someone very intelligent created and deisgned every beautiful things we see around. The sky, the sun, moon and stars, the mountains, trees are not manmade. God brearhed life into his nostrils... Try not to breathe for 4-6 minutes... Who designed that humans cannot live beyond 6 minutes without oxygen. That is God...Creator...Designer...

Even I have to concede the causal effect to be beyond the scope of mental prepositions and into the realm of divine understanding. "Yet the Spirit was not in them" Today, 60 years have passed since the nation of Israel was perfected, but the Spirit was not in them. Ezekiel 37:9 "Then he looked at me and said: Prophesy to the spirit. Son of man, prophesy to the spirit and say: This is what the Lord God says: Spirit, come from the four winds and blow on the dead so that they may live." In this verse we see "that they who kill may live." What this means is that slain refers to the condition of the dead i.e. the condition of the world (the dead their dead..) Israel is like the people of the world in death and ignorance. Although Israel had received all kinds of worldly blessings, their ignorance of Jesus Christ meant that the life of God was not in them. When Paul says about this Ephesians 4:18 "They are darkened in understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them because of the hardness of their hearts." And so, when they see what the spirit of waiting to receive life signifies Refers to "God's Holy Spirit". Today this Holy Spirit has given life to the true church and so it is to them. Romans 8:10,11 "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead to sin, and the spirit is alive to righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead.. He will also raise your bodies” It is not yet available to Israel. After receiving the Holy Spirit, the Israelites will fully know the truths of God. How and when the Israelites When they see that they will know. Ezekiel 37:10 "I prophesied what I was taught. Your word is truth Page 11 A prophecy concerning Israel Then the Spirit entered into them, and they became alive, standing, and great "The spirit" stood as a great army. " The "Holy Spirit" spoken of here is four to the nation of Israel The following We see that coming from the winds. What do these four winds represent? It is mentioned in the verse - Revelation 7:1 "After these, four angels stood in the four directions of the earth, either on the earth, or on the sea, or on a tree, or the wind. I held the four winds of the earth so as not to be blown away". Imagine what happens when the four winds blow from the four directions. Together they form a vortex. A tornado destroys everything in its path. Yes here from the "four winds of the earth" or from the four divisions of visible earthly government, political, religious, social, and economic, simultaneously. God is referring here to the tribulation that will arise. This tribulation is a symbol of the tribulation period that will end the present dispensation and the second world. Capricorn And through this great tribulation period and the four winds, Israel will receive the Holy Spirit. Then when the scriptures say about the state of Israel, jeremiah 30 : 3,7, 9 "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord. I‬‎

I never believed in the things Paul was teaching. What he wrote was so different than Jesus. Peter and Jesus’s brother James denied Paul and told him to stop saying inaccurate things from Jesus. You can see the problems Paul caused including by using a Greek Translation instead. If you go to the Hebrew a very different Torah is revealed.

Interesting and I like his approach on some things. HOWEVER, he is either ignorant or dishonest regarding proof for the Torah. A claim of a whole nation at Sinai is better than one person but we have no way of knowing if it's just a story. It's the Kuzari argument and does not hold water today. Further, he claims we have the same Torah but that ignores the Samaritan, the Septuagint, the Dead Sea Scrolls etc. The Masoretic is just one of a bunch and none go back to Sinai.
@jordanwartell-composer
@jordanwartell-composer 6 ай бұрын
I can tell you've researched this issue, but I think there is more to dig into. The Kuzari argument does better than just "hold water" today - no other religion, claims had a national revelation like the Jews, with an unbroken historical chain, generation after generation, going back 3300+ years. Moreover, thousands of years have passed for a similar religious origin story to develop among the thousands of other religions that have sprung up since - never happened. The "comparisons" with Native tribes and Roman/Greek origin myths are not serious challenges. In fact, the other major religions - Christianity, Islam, Baháʼí, etc. accept the Sinai Revelation as true! This is in itself miraculous, a 1-time, unreplicable religious event that the majority of the world believes in. Even if one rejects the story as fact, one cannot reject the unparalleled uniqueness of it. The Torah scroll (Sefer Torah) is another supernatural text in how it's been preserved - France, Yemen, Poland, Spain, Syria, etc. - they are all the same Torah - every word, and even every letter (with a handful of trivial exceptions) has been preserved with thousands of years without contact. G-d has preserved his Torah unlike any other book in human history. The Torah itself even prophecizes no other nation will claim such an experience - incredible! There is far more evidence, as you know, for the miraculous history of the Jewish nation, but this would take too long. It seems to me then that the argument is not Judaism vs. other religions, but whether G-d is real or not ... which is a separate issue. Judaism is by far the most sound religious option for an intellectual thinker.

What you fail to grasp is that there were generations immediately following Sinai that could ask this same question and yet accepted it as historical fact. Furthermore, the historical enduring fact of Israel's observance of that same Torah given at Sinai. There are many gentiles who claim to be "TRUE Israel", but none of them have corporately observed even the Sabbath and Circumcision the way the Jewish People have.
@TacShooter
@TacShooter 5 ай бұрын
How many scrolls dating back to Sinai have been found intact by archeologists? The observant Jewish People have become the living Torah. Furthermore, the discovery of "more Bible" and the proof of the general reliability of the existing Bible just as Israel was being reestablished as a nation suggests a Divine Hand, in my mind, given that the text remained hidden since at least the darkness brought upon the Jewish People by the Roman Flavian Dynasty and their miso-Judaic Roman State Cult, Christianity. This is the heavy-handedness of the nations inflicting punishment upon Israel, as described in 1st Enoch.
@reEllity
@reEllity 5 ай бұрын
@@TacShooter "there were generations immediately following Sinai that could ask this same question and yet accepted it as historical fact." Of this you have no evidence. There was little to no concept of history, most people were not educated or literate. Traditions developed over time and eventually were understood as the "history" of the Jews. But there is no historical scientifically sound evidence for this transmission. And this is a convenient confusion by many: there was no historical enduring observance of the Torah from the days at Sinai. Not only that, but that is made clear time and time again in the Tanakh itself with the number of times Bnei Israel lost their way. Any unbroken and serious tradition of any sort can not be dated before the days of Shimon Hatzadik around 200 BCE.

Why do they need to hear from Him? He already revealed Himself to them at Sinai and gave them His Instruction, His Torah. All of the later Prophets only exhort the Israelites of their time to return to observance of the Torah. This is why the Torah says, "And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face," (Deut. 34:10)

You literally missed the point of what the Rabbi was saying. Throughout Jewish history, there are debates about the finer points of the law. Debates that at times have become politicized and led to infighting and different "factions" of Judaism. But throughout the entire 3000+ years, there was never anyone who stood up and said "it should be a sign on your hand" means something else! Just because there are other people who do similar things, doesn't mean that's where it came from. Correlation is not causation.
