I am a 2016 Olympic Alternate and NCAA athlete and have deferred my senior year at the University of Utah to come back to elite gymnastics and try for a spot on the 2021 Olympic Team. This channel documents my journey and gives insight into the life of someone preparing for the Olympics!

Love seeing your makeup free face, it's a really good example for women and girls out there that you are comfortable showing your face without makeup. You're beautiful either way and it gives permission to others to feel that way about themselves! Thank you!

I agree, though as someone who would feel more self-conscious WEARING makeup than without it, it's really hard to understand why people would feel otherwise. It just feels weird to be walking around with stuff on your face. I feel like people would judge me.

@@catinabox3048 nobody will judge you either way. People are used to seeing women wearing makeup, so they wouldn't even notice it unless you put it on really heavy. Not wearing makeup is fine too. Nobody will judge. I usually wear makeup when I'm going out, but it isn't heavy makeup. I like to use a tinted moisturizer, neutral eyeshadow and brownish black mascara...sometimes I will wear a lip tint, but that's about it. You can wear light makeup that just enhances your looks rather than heavy makeup that changes your looks more significantly. I've never had anyone judge me for wearing makeup.

I'm surprised to see your diet, doesn't seem like enough food to fuel you through all your workouts. If I worked out like that I would eat the world! No judgment, just interesting to see.

It depends on the day too! Sometimes I eat a lot. One of the next videos we're filming is more about my diet

My teammates and I would actually end up eating less the more we trained. Not to an unhealthy point (our parents and our coaches would have stopped that real quick lol ) but there was just something about long training days that killed our appetites. We prioritized quality, nutrient-dense foods that we could eat quickly and weren't very heavy on the stomach, but still gave us the fuel we needed. And then there were days where we ate like absolute monsters xD It's all really variable.

@@alexx1769 Yes! When I was working out lifting and doing cardio for close to two hours a day, I had no appetite. Now that I've had to cut that back to barely any cardio and just weights, I eat so much more.

I love your videos! They really inspire me to just keep doing gymnastics, and just to enjoy the sport! I get really motivated when I watch your gymnastics videos as well since you teach me to never give up when things get tough and to always have faith that everything will turn out fine! Melo is awesome. Keep healing up 💓 I learned (from a music expert) re practicing that filming yourself (the act of filming yourself) puts pressure on you and is closer to a "performance" for your brain. The expert was talking about music but I'm sure there is overlap with sports. So while your KZfaq efforts are appreciated, I hope filming helps your journey to the Olympics in multiple ways 💗 Good Luck at Camp! P.S. I really appreciate Jonas' sense of humor!

Great video - you need a lot of rest so glad to see you being real about it. Also, you may know this but Mello would be soooo happy with a little kitty brother or sister to play with and it's not anymore work. They would play hide n seek, chase etc. and have a ton of fun.

Just wanted to say Good luck! Also, you were definitely deserving to go to the last Olympics and they easily could have put you on the team. We don't know enough about gymnastics, but thought you were going with your success on vault and floor and a successful Olympic trials. It's a hard decision like this Olympics too, but felt you have done so well to transition back to elite gymnastics and congratulate you on that success. In fact, we can't think of any other gymnast that has come so far as you from going to college full time back to elite. You are an inspiration to all college athletes. Good luck on your comeback! Hope you make it this time.

I lived in Scottsdale area for four years before moving back to Wisconsin and I loved Nectar.. they had one at the Scottsdale Quarter. One of the things I miss most!! Tried to make them at home but not the same. And YES!! to a skincare routine video. Would love to see your preferred products.
