as a beginner musician myself, i think it might be the mixing and how the instruments themselves sound the same drums playing the same pattern can be made to sound comparatively objective, or soothing depending on how they're played and the mixing of course the samples themselves also matter! i can hear some rather soft sounding samples in there such as that shaker! all of these are just guesses based on my own experience though

I thought of it like, a moment where everything starts to feel like it's okay. Then, when the instruments come crashing back in, it's like you make a small mistake that just sends you right back into asking yourself what you're doing wrong.

This one is working it's way up to my favorite. Such a masterpiece, and how the tension and intensity only grows throughout the song is such an amazing way to symbolize a panic attack or depressive episode. This is very, very emotionally chargeed and I'm all for it. The best one word description of it is desperation. Even the cover art is in her own home at night, which is why I assume this is one of those spirals that gets you late at night for no reason in particular. Especially sonce the title of this is so different than your others... It's a genuine and dreadful question we all tend to ask ourselves on bad days, a feeling we'll never quite shake. Constantly looming over us, no matter how far we bury it down. Waiting to strike at our most vulnerable. Eating us apart from the inside. This feeling of doubt is nothing but a curse that drags us down. Just keep going, everyone. No matter how bad it gets. Life won't always be this way. It has ups and downs, but it will never stay down forever. Just remember the good when it gets bad again.i believe in you. Thank you for making this, Mykoll. Your music is amazing.

I think I've said this elsewhere but, the title was actually a genuine question I was asking my self. At the time I was in a funk and felt like everything I was writing sucked. I was in the middle of writing this song when I felt like I was getting nowhere, went to save the project and sat there not knowing what to call it. So I just went with the first thing that I thought of, 'what am I doing wrong'. After that it kind of just clicked, That's the feeling the song should evoke. Thanks for the comment was genuinely wonderful to read!

I just found this and put it on for some background ambiance but god damn. Before I knew it the notes the piano played at around <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="100">1:40</a> took all my attention and from 2 minutes onward I felt it grab my soul. Then that noise and the glitching going into the calmer part followed by the breakdown. By the very end of the song I was in tears. I love everything about it.
