This woman is the absolute world queen of intros and closings! I will remember all my life the intro during his tour "mylenium tour" (1999) which is pure magic never before equaled ... The intro and the 2019 closing are indescribable (blocked for copyrights on youtube but a must see if you have Prime Video) and always position "the red goddess" very far ahead of Madonna, Pink, Lady Gaga and the others ...

Mylene is 59, soon 60 so there’s hope for maybe one more concert, maybe even more but it all depends on her. Only 7 concerts in all of her 37 years of career, a break can be anywhere from 3-7 years.. she only does concerts when she feels the pull to the stage, no other reason. Mylène is the queen of all ends and entrances as many have said! She’s always focused more on visuals etc rather than super duper amazing and shocking vocals. She’s a much more visual artist. I think it’s nice, the visuals compensate for anything else that is lost too! Maybe for a next reaction, do “Mylenium + l’amour naissant” (1999 entry) or “Coming from the vortex + interstellaries”, “L’horloge” (2019) could also be cool though it’s best to know a bit about the song before reacting to it. L’horloge is a poem by Charles Baudelaire which she adapted to a song in 1988. It was the opening song of her first tour and the closing one of the latest.. also it’s one of my favourite poems! I can understand why she chose it.. death, the unchangeable passing of time - those are topics she often deals with. I’ve added subtitles to all these songs (and a few more) and uploaded them in google drive, the song is always different when you know the lyrics and her lyrics are (with visuals) her strongest suit. You should try her biggest hit "desenchantée" live stade de France 2009 that was mind-blowing, 80 000 persons was there twice time in a raw.

I always thought she was from Quebec, but she is actually French. Her parents came from France and migrated to Quebec because her father had won an engineering contract. She was born there and when she was 8 years old, they returned to France. Anyway, great intro and great song. Looking forward to discovering other songs from her. Great reaction. Some facts about this concert : She performed this concert 13 times in a row at the Palais d'Omnisport in Paris-Bercy in January 2006, with 13000 spectators each night. The pre-sale began in December 2014 already, even before the album to this tour was even released, and 170000 tickets were sold out within 3 hours ! Almost all of her intros and outros are breathtaking. You rememeber the first song you have reacted to by Mylene ? Avant que l'ombre.... that was the end of that same concert. Now you have seen the beginning. For exploring some more stunning live performances, I would recommend to watch the intro and first song "Paradis inanime" from her Stade de France concert 2009, which took place on her 48th birthday on September 12, 2009. Really impressive, as well... also the 2019 intro is one-of-a-kind, but unfortunately, this is no longer available on youtube, due to copyright problems.
