The guitar in the solo sounds like someone stuck in some deep abyss and crying their heart out for help. Only by the love of people around him can he be saved but the place is too deep to be heard from. While all of this happens the memories of the good times before adds fuel to his fear and sorrow.

My mother, when she heard this song for the first time, burst into tears. I also cried when I heard for the first time. And my sister. Although it was at different times. But for each of us it has become something special. It became a personal revelation for each of us.

I saw him perform live with slash here in Mumbai and he was scanning the crowd during his performance when excited me put up my metal horns in appreciation and he smiled and showed me \m/ horns too. I must've shed a tear or two.

In my opinion, this song and the entire album is amazing, because he puts his entire heart and soul in it. And every word he sings feels honest, real and sincere instead of it feeling exaggerated or fake. This song is easily in the top 10 of greatest songs made by the legendairy Myles Kennedy. Oh that was the first thing I noticed after listening to this epic song on repeat. On an already epic guitar solo he hits that insane high note in the background. This whole album is beautiful from beginning to end and deserves a Grammy next year. Once in a generation, there comes an influence in music that makes you have to pinch yourself to make sure it's real. Mr K is in my mind that person. His lyrics and sublime guitar playing to me make him an everlasting treasure. May your vocals last and your fingers play beyond the day of my hearing no more. I'm proud to be a Myles fan at such a young age. All the other kids in school listen to bullshit. I'm not a rap hater. I enjoy real hip hop like Eminem, 2 PAC, DMX, Snoop Dog, Easy E, Dr. Dre, Macklemore; Stuff like that, but Linkin Park, GNR, Aerosmith and Avenged Sevenfold have always been my favorites. When I discovered Alter Bridge about 3 years ago, the main thing was Myles' voice. I had discovered my true fsf (favorite singer forever - cheesy but true), and it was only made 10 times better when I discovered that my favorite singer in the world was working with my all time fav guitar player, Slash. I love you Myles for all the wonderful musical experiences you've provided for me over the years. I can't thank you enough.

Our son committed suicide in April of 2018. This song was left as a message to me that I found 4 1/2 years later. I can actually put myself in the artist view as if I were him and feel the same thing about the death of someone close, like a wife or son. It was his way of telling us it would be ok, and to not "what if" myself to death or let it haunt us. Sorry for the dark story, but That said, --(agree with Anton Rozzouk who said) "This guy is probably the most underrated musician ever. He’s got an extraordinary voice and an awesome personality" - I'll be looking for Year of the Tiger and others I see listed. Thank you Myles....

March 9th. My Mom has been gone 10 years today. Depression and cancer somehow go hand in hand. 11 years ago Brad Delp of Boston took his life. Those demons haunt so many of us. Myles Kennedy is a gift to those of us who can escape into song.

Wow I can so relate to Myles Kennedy lyrics. I been reading a lot of people comments and I agree with everyone. There is something wrong with the music industry. We need to revolution to put good music back on the map!

Like Myles, I lost my father at a very young age and it left me with so many questions unanswered. From what I've heard from the album-and this song in particular- it seems that I can relate to his hurt and pain. Thankyou so much for writing this. I can already tell that this will resonate with me for a very long time ❤

@MRKLjinjang his father passed.. He has gone on record to say that he was religious to the point he wouldn't see a doctor when he became ill.. That's partly why Myles is an atheist.

Christianity and it's million faces is to some degree unfortunately a big ton of crap... So many people fall for the this sharade and magic show religious leaders put up to spread false hope. I was Christian once and am Jewish now! The big difference between the two is this christianity is a religion - Judaism is a lifestyle. A choice you make based on the truth. How do I know that Judaism is the foundation of faith? Remove Mohammed and Jesus.... What do you have?! You have the Torah! The old testament...the common denominator in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. And what is written in there? Amongst other things God formed a nation he called his own and gave them a manual on how to be good people! Nowhere does it say not to seek help when you need it or that God wants to make you crazy rich or that accepting Christ will give you some kind of golden ticket to heaven.... Those are lies guys! Use your common sense and understand that you when reading your Bible you won't read about Christian's! Those people are all Jews! Living Jewish lives, and dealing with conflicts in Judaism! Why are ppl celebrating Christmas and easter yet no one in scripture does? No wonder ppl are confused... It's time to ask pastors the right questions! Christianity is idolatry. If you use your head you'll figure it out too....think about it... There are no Christian's in the Bible.... There can't be because the word Christian is not Hebrew! Also your Bible is a translation by interpreters of the Hebrew language... And I say interpreters because in Hebrew one word can have 10 different meanings! I could go on and on but my basic point is that I get the frustration with religion but I now understand that God has nothing to do with that... My frustrations is man made - by people who sell lies to make profit
