He's like a mix of Rice and Camavinga

England were ridiculous playing him through the middle, there was noone spreading the play and none of the parts of the team connected. They had the best players in the competition comfortably but couldn't get on top of their opponents in any of their games simply because they didn't have a passer in the middle, just a load of head down dribblers playing for themselves. Really poor showing from them.

Shows the importance of good coaching and tactics. Talent is not enough

The goal is lucky, he got the ball bounce back to him. He should have made better decision to through pass the ball earlier. Sometimes he dribbles too much when he should pass. Hope that Arteta can make him more tiki taka capable.

No offence but if Patino can’t get minutes at Arsenal I don’t think this kid will. Patino has a more rounded game than Skelly. Pass, dribble, carry. Skelly seems to only do a lot of carrying, kind of like Joe when he was in the academy

Nah patino is more Spanish blended while Kelly is the typical Bellingham kind of player and fits better Ozil was good but didn’t fit in So it’s not about the player but how we want to play and so far Kelly has shown the attributes

I’ll tell anyone who will listen. He’ll be developed as an Zinchencko.

Skelly can dribble and pass very well too. He has underrated vision

Patino's lack of mobility and physicality, might be his undoing as a top-flight player. Xhaka offers a good example of a player using game intelligence to compensate for a slow and stiff body, though he is MUCH stronger and more combative. As for Lewis-Skelly, he has all of the raw ingredients to play in midfield or fullback (there are rumours he is going to be turned into Zinchenko-style player). It's normal that a 17-year-old who is much better than most players his age takes on too much at times. Also, we don't know what instructions he has been given by the coaches - I wouldn't be surprised if he is playing to their guidance. He will learn fast when he plays with the first team.
