3 days bushcraft and hiking. First night was too warm for the stove but it was a nice treat the second night when temps dropped and wind picked up. First cooking method is a kind of pressure cooking of the meat in the pot upside down on a stick. The reason for the grass is to shock the meat and make it sweat starting the boil and closing the pores. If you can't find dry grass it works without but more juice will run down the stick during the cook. A good place to find dry grass even when summer is in full bloom is alongside lake shores underneath the green grass. Bread recipe is water, oil, flour, baking soda, salt. Thanks for watching.

That's about as close to a make shift, bushcraft, kettle grill as you could get. Fire in the bottom, dome on top and meat in the middle...interesting. Those military surplus mess kits are expensive here even in not so good condition, especially the Swedish style, been searching for a good one to try out. Nice fish! Great camps in a beautiful place, fire, food, fishing...perfect. Thanks for the trip, well filmed of course. See you next time.

Have seen that plant while hiking, the "Skvattram", but had to look it up. Wiki says "Rhododendron tomentosum (syn. Ledum palustre), commonly known as marsh Labrador tea, northern Labrador tea or wild rosemary". Anything to keep those giant Vampirous winged leaches away! Parts of Alaska are similar - bug that can carry off small children ;-) Really love the LONG ending, very soothing. Kept wondering if the camera would turn into your drone and fly away! Thanks for brightening the World's day, and congrats on nearing 1/2 million - I remember when you had 10% of that, you have come a long way, my friend!

I am too scared to be alone out in the woods, tried it. All I could hear, besides animals and birds, was my own heart beat or ringing in my ears. I wish I was not such a chicken. Every time you show a long stretch looking into the deep wood I get nervous that something is going to be seen, like a bear, wolf, big cat, or moose. 😂 Still, thank you for sharing this natural, and for you a relaxing time. I look forward to more. Later.
