I am astounded! I have been watching videos since my junior year of high school (three years) on how to tie a bow tie! Honestly, every single video (even from tailors) were completely helpless! They walked through the process as if we are all supposed to have the loop and so-on and so-forth. You walked through everything elegantly and well! I really like the fact that you have a little bit of a different technique than everybody else on KZfaq when you're tying it! Cudos to you, sir! Thank you so much for helping!

I've been tying my bow ties for 30+ years, almost weekly, and have had no problem doing so (after I spent the first six months taking over 1/2 hour or more each time just to get it tied). I thought I finally had the process down. My knots ranged from fairly good, to obviously hand-tied and gnarly, to almost like one of those pretied knots. You Sir, have now given me the information to tie an excellent knot in a bow tie that's worthy of the tie. Thank you.

Very clear video overall and in the end i was able to get my bowtie looking good! Most tricky part for me was tucking the 2nd loop tucked in behind the front of the bowtie. I also wasn't able to get the tightening correct so I just did it the way you told us not too. It looked great in the end regardless. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

The best of the videos... when following the video in a "mirror" position. it is important to remember to put the initial double bow toward your right shoulder and on push the back bow through the hole in the back towards the left shoulder, Liked the how to tighten the knot instructions. thanks

Watched a bunch of other youtube videos and I always messed it up on the step before putting it through the loop created at the back. I learned how to tie a bow tie with a diagram online, but it always looked messy and lopsided. This is the first video that showed me how to shape it properly. Pulling the back side of both loops to tighten the knot not only holds the tie together better, but I can pull one side of the other to adjust the size of that loop if it's lopsided. Works every time. Brilliant! Thanks!

It was perfect. I got it on the 2nd try only because I wasn't listening attentively the first time. Thank you so much for this. My son-in-law lent me his bow tie for a wedding I'm going to in a couple of weeks, of which I am one of the principal sponsors, & I was determined to wear a bow tie. My daughter emphasized to me that I had to practice, practice, practice. Turns out I only had to search 2 videos & watch yours twice for me to master it. Yes, I have mastered it. Again, thank you so very much! The only negative thing is that I knew that I was a 15 1/2 but just discovered I am now a 16 1/4...oh, well! LOL!
