I think, the verse that explains the "prioritization" thing that Edward mentioned is found in Matthew 6:33 that says: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." To prioritize God is really finding and being in "God's righteousness. And this righteousness is given or created in us by God Himself in Christ Jesus. Not our own righteousness, or good deeds, or effort or performance, coz our own cannot pass God's standard which is perfect and our are not...all our good deeds are filthy rags in His sight. We have no righteousness, we have none at all...ours are just sins...So JESUS became sin so that we become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For he (God) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (Christ)." We find God's righteousness when we believe and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of our being...then its the only time that we can say, we prioritized God in our lives. We prioritize God not by our effort of being good, but by accepting God's effort of making us righteous...Jesus Christ is the only one qualified to do what is righteous, so He did it for us...He did it at the cross when Jesus died for our sins, removing, forgiving our sins, so that we are made righteous in God's sight. We are saved then and have the relationship as His child..He as our Abba-Father, an heir to all that is His..."all these things shall be added unto you". Galatians 4:7 "Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." We love you MayWard...in Christ.
