These are 7 DIY car mods that anyone can do and they will greatly improve your handling, traction and therefore your overall speed. They dnt increase horsepower or torque but as I explain in this video you don't need more torque or horsepower to increase your 0-60 mph or your 1/4 mile run times.

You didn’t mention gofaster stickers. They add 1-3hp per sticker. Multiply that by 1.3 if you have an aftermarket spoiler. The stickers are not to be confused with stickfamily stickers which detract horsepower and wetness initiation.

These are great tips. The #1 is probably the least or never mentioned. I was born in 1974 and in 1986 my Decided to relieve his original 1983 VW GTI of wear and tear, so he bought a 1986 Toyota Corolla GTS. The Corolla is the car I learned how to drive at 12 years old. Both of these cars are 5speed manuals. At first it was brutal, with my Dad yelling at me to be careful with the clutch; however, towards grasping the concept and driving on public roads, I have become a very efficient driver. I've also taken the 86 as I call it to road races in mountain roads and never lost. I tend to beat the hell out of over powered cars with my now modified 1986 Toyota Corolla. The 86 is no longer driven daily, but driven from time to time. I really miss my Dad, since he passed away in October 11th 2019. 💗⚡ Learning to drive is totally key! Thank you! 👍

Hi, like your videos, pretty informative. While a lot of mod videos focus on speed and performance, I would actually like to learn about mods that increase comfort (even if some performance has to be sacrificed, or maybe comfort enhancements can be balanced out by performance ones). I have a base 2017 VW GTI, and while it's a pretty great all-around car for my needs, it's not the most comfortable ride out of the gate. I'd like to try and improve that. What are your thoughts?

When considering a short shifter, you definitely wanna look into short THROW shifters. You wanna reduce the throw. Sometimes when you get a cheap short shifter, you actually increase the effort required to shift, which is no bueno. Regarding motor (& tranny) mounts, you can look into diy mount filling. For example, 3M Windo Weld is a urethane that my local Vatozone has recently begun to carry in stock and works wonders in filling in oem mounts. Definitely less expensive than aftermarket poly mounts and not so extra stiff. You decide how strong you want the vibrations to be.

Interesting point regarding motor mounts. Do you think that worn motor mounts could contribute to slightly lower acceleration and lower fuel mileage? I just replaced motor mounts on a 1999 E320 and MPG went up maybe 5% afterwards. Didn't think about it until now. Also, I have 1999 Acura TL that I noticed acceleration from stop isn't as good as before. Could be many thngs, I supposed. But I'll check the motor mounts on that now.

Ok, I am seriously considering wanting to do a turbo conversion to my Mazda 2004 B2300 pick up. It has original engine and I'm not wanting to race etc. just want that extra boost when needed like in big city travel as I will get run over lol or a citation for not going fast enough.......I know of some guys who do this a lot with civics etc. but they sell them. Would I need a new engine to do the conversion or hopefully can I use the motor in my little pickup? Of course I'm willing to adjust the things needed to be but that's my question. Oh pick up runs good is sound no problems as it has been well taken care of
