When this game game out, it blew my friggin' mind. Those panoramic views were incredible.

Actually Atrus doesn't ask for the Strangers help in this installment of Myst. He asked the stranger to come for a visit so that they could go to Releeshan together (the age he was writing at the end of the book of D'ni) and Sevadro suddenly shows up and steals the descriptive book. He drops the linking book to J'nanin which the stranger goes through unprompted, and the book is burned before Atrus can follow, as he implies he planned on doing at the end.

I did not realize Myst 3 wasn't made by Cyan. Presto did a fantastic job holy cow.

Damn, I live for the ball rollercoaster cutscene, too bad it has to be skipped. Nevermind Flapjack senpai was so good ~ 💕

I remember every friday in primary school my teacher would put this on for the last hour and we had to figure out what to do, i don’t remember if we completed it or not wait no i think we did

This is still my favorite Myst game. Sure, it's not the best speed game, but I'm not a speedrunner. I love it, among many other reasons, specifically because you can take it slow.

Seeing how Myst can be seepdrun, I wonder if The Room, The Room II and then Room III (my favourite) would be OK to speedrun as well.
