@shkpotter9844 someone already answered, but it was supposed to be a virtual live concert with Nijisanji EN Lazulight, Obsydia, Ethyria, Luxiem, and Noctyx- who all were supposed to debut their 3D models (except Fulgur, for health reasons). Luxiem already flew to Japan to record their performance, I think Lazulight probably did since they were already getting their 3D, and a bunch of the livers were rehearsing - taking vocal lessons and dance classes. They announced with official promotional art and started selling tickets, then not even 2 weeks after the announcement, the event was cancelled and ticket refunds were issued, with no details as to why except "covid" which was an obvious lie 😮‍💨 it took a toll on a lot of fans and even more so on the livers who were preparing this for months.

Well, they'll still be friends offline so they'll still be making memories together with Mysta, it's just going to be behind the scenes

I have two things to say. firstly, thanks to the community, we’ll still have mysta’s vods to watch everyday. and second, mysta said that he would still get to meet the niji members irl. so we may be able to see someone be like ‘oh yeah yeah. btw I met mysta the other day’ etc. although it’s sad, he won’t be forgotten.

I mean it's understandable, it was a huge thing for EN and they just suddenly cancelled it for "covid". I would be mad too if I spent my money to go Japan to record for something exciting only to have it cancelled but the other side of me is also like, I can understand when they don't happen ... it's like being a voice actor and recording for something only for the project to not be released

he has done all his goals as a vtuber and he has lost passion on it.

He still has passion for content creation but being doxxed, harass (for not wanting to see ship art on his main/for being cringe and free/for being a man/for collabing with Mika/for going on Vacations in a group with 2 women and that made the female gachi ANGRY etc) and stalked for just being himself to the point his mother phone number got leaked and people began calling her to get to him. It's kinda normal he would get tired. From all the talents he is one of the most vocals about how he was able to critice stuff because of the preferential treatment of Luxiem, the shitty looking merch, how they give them a very small amount of shares for their physical merch, etc. Things like this can be very tiring and honestly I hope that if he chooses to come back he Nina and Yugo can collab and have fun together. I really hope NijiEn management can stop fucking up and step up to be better cuz bigger companies have died before and they have no plot armor irl to become an exception.

From what I understood, he was thinking about it and had commented about his thoughts, but if AR Live had worked out, he might had stayed, it could’ve been their thing, motivation would’ve stayed up, and he could’ve decided that it was worth to stay after that experience. But nothing worked out and the mental health of many in Niji took a serious hit, we saw many taking breaks, many not as motivated as they used to be, and that could had been a part that made Mysta’s mind. Remember Mysta said that the decision was made 5 months ago, which would’ve been around February, which is around the time after AR Live was cancelled.

What I gage to be the biggest reason for mysta leaving is how horrible hes been treated from fans and viewers, and with such a big audience thats the kind of thing you cant exactly escape staying as the same person with the same fans. Everything else wouldve just added onto it, like him achieving all he wanted and probably a big loss of passion in terms of being Mysta.

I think it's partially management issues, partially harassment and parasocial fans. He did get a lot of hate in 2022 for various reasons, and it obviously took a toll on him. I'm only a casual fan, and I even I could see he was getting more cynical over time.

Makes Shu being so broken up over it all the more heartbreaking.

The ogs has 32 members. Lazulight, Obsidia : 3 members Ethyria : 4 members Luxiem, Noctyx : 5 members Iluna, Xsoleil : 6 members Around Dec 2022 Yugo was gone that same month so that leave only 31 og members left at that time.

@@Lynn69420 Ahh I miscounted (and i don’t think xsoleil were gonna be in AR Live because they literally JUST debuted like 2 months prior. no way they had their 3D models already made and ready to preform) but either way my point still stands. Very unfortunate we never got to see them all together one last time.

I feel you😢 Not just AR Live, but if you stay in Mysta’s stream, no need to be a constant viewer, you can always find that his stream ideas got cancelled. I remembered during the 1st anniversary of Luxiem, Mysta’s stream idea got cancelled and he was pretty upset during his and the other boiz’ celebration stream. (Warning: I know I don’t have sufficient information for saying things below but that’s how I feel for the whole graduation thing.) To be honest, I don’t think haters are the main reason for Mysta’s leaving. It might be a main issue to his mental health during his early career, but I think he actually kind of overcame it and know that Mystakes love him very much. However, getting rejected frequently by your own company, that maybe the elephant in the room. Just like a bird trapped inside a cage, working in a company will always have its restrictions, it would be very annoying especially for someone who is so unhinged and creative like Mysta. Dealing with haters is easy, as you know they are talking dumb things and what they say is not true, ignore them and doing the things we want can solve the problem (well I mean at least you can protect your mental health by changing your perspective). But for changing the culture or regulations of the company? Nah, that’s nearly impossible. Honestly, I kinda want him to leave Niji and be an idie, he might not have a big viewership in his past, but he earn his fame with “Mysta”, and I hope he will success in his future. Foxes belong to the wild, not inside a zoo! And when they get their freedom, they are one of the most beautiful creatures in the world!🦊🧡

Honey...just look at how they handled Nijisanji ID...they practically slowly dismantled that part of their company until not a lot of their talents wanted to stay and just graduated. Listen to Mika Melatika talk about them being in such a bad spot and without support from the agency she had to take matters into her own hands and practically collab with other livers as much as possible to get her name out there and get the attention of her own agency. Sure we can argue that they would give more focus to talents that brings in more views and profits but come on.

Scheduling delays, like it was written in the official announcement. The staff even came out with an interview talking about how there were scheduling conflicts between what should be done and what has to be done. The EN AR Live was back to back after Kanae and Nornis’s AR live, which was announced way before EN and has way more backing, so stuff like key production staff catching covid or livers not being able to get to japan on time due to covid-related flight restrictions or visa issues would’ve screwed the production schedule. Rescheduling EN for the sake of delivering Nornis and Kanae on time was a lesser of two evils kind of situation.

@@drakex241 yeah that's what i said (minus the hololive part, let's not get into tribalistic shit flinging competitions, and i say this as an enjoyer of both companies), it's just that english fucking sucks as a language and "the talents can do better" can mean both "the talents deserve to be treated better" and "the talents are able to make better content", hence why the guy i was replying to asked that in the first place.
