Fisher-folk often use nail clippers for clipping fishing line. Not surprised you're finding them with lures and hooks.

Those things Steve found are a matchman hook tyer, stotz pliers for putting shot on the line, forceps used to remove hooks from fish like pike and nail clippers used to trim line from the tag end of knots

Rusty got a fishing hook knot tying jig (black thing) and a set of split shot pincers the nailclippers are used for cutting fishing line, and the forceps are used for removing hooks from fish
