Advance is more likely an Adrenaline rush bcoz of heart rate increased and it triggers fight or flight mode. While Removal is more of a Enkephalins and Endorphins realese, since Riaan is on Euphoric state using it.

Removal has little to none drawbacks, advance can abuse your heart and vessels. But if you are a regular person id say advance is better, because if you use removal you may be very strong for awhile but youll die of broken bones and muscle tears after, unlike removal which takes continous application to be fatal.

Removal drawbacks: Drains stamina so the user can’t maintain removal for long, places strain on the body(even on the Kure, but they’re able to handle the strain), Their is a certain limit on your latent power(low latent=low power; high latent=higher power). (this isn’t explicitly stated but given the way the possessing spirit works one can assume that’s all he did) but when actual niko hit ohma in the chest, he used the redirection kata chi blockage technique and knocked ohma’s spine slightly out of place to restraint his power. I think removal is still better as even if someone had a 100% removal and was a weak character you could still beat them with a weaker removal just by having a higher base strength and using a martial art eith it while advance has to be weakened in order to use martial arts with it which just makes it a little harder and more specific to use. Imagine if any Kure clan member used niko style. They’d have no problems using it since it doesn’t cause strain on their movements.

6:55 it would make sense for it to increase durability that depends on muscles, so for example a lowkick targets the leg muscles and if you flex them that lessens the effect so removal allowing you to flex them harder would probably make them hit less hard. even against headshots having stronger neck muscles to stop your head from moving as much could help however for stuff like a kick to the ribs where it's bones being targeted or if your shins are getting hurt or for a broken nose it shouldn't do anything. I could see anime logic having it increase durability in those last cases anyway though.
