I have no doubt that Ashantis will one day decide to separate from Ghana. This union of Ashanti and Ghana may collapse one day because of the too much hatred and jealousy towards Ashanti by some Ghanaians. Ashanti gold, cocoa and timber has taken care of Ghana for well over 100 years and yet some Ghanaians never appreciate Ashanti contributions to Ghana. Some Ghanaians believe Ashantis are a menace in Ghana because they refuse to let go of their allegiance to the Golden Stool.

Ashantis are not responsible for the development of Ashanti Nation, it's the responsibility of the Ghana government. Our gold, cocoa, timber and other things go to the Government of Ghana, not the Asantehene. This is why we say, Ashantis will be better off if they were managing their own affairs.
