How can you deliver such an enticing plot and finish with such a large cliff hanger?

Thank you very much for this play through :) I remember getting the demo about 2 years ago, but never buying the full game. I think this game is probably one of the best interactive, hidden object games around..... except for the fact that the ending was horrible :( I understand that the company went out of business and couldn't wrap up the game satisfactorily..... but it WAS disappointing. However, thanks again for playing this :)

They really do need 2 make another game that follows this story the suspends is driving me up the wall

@BatgirlOmega yeah, I'm kinda pissed at the ending (I called it an ending without an end, "cough..Black Mirror 2..cough'' hehe) I think the development team did it purposely so we'll all have to play the sequel to find out what happen. And I can already picture the story in which Raoul and Christine go to rescue their daughter and have a final showdown with the phantom.....

I will wait until I'm dead to see this ending! I've already waited 2 years, I will wait for more until someone carries on the torch!

The plot was good....I REALLY HATE THE ENDING

I adore this game! Although the bonus ending was pretty disappointing. I wish the game creators could have revealed what happened after the whole fiasco with the Phantom and Evelina. Although I concede that this game was fantastic, both endings (regular game play and bonus) were similar in ending both parts in cliff hangers and leaving me flabbergasted.

@GhostGal5 Unfortunately, I already included the bonus material... The original game ends right after you enter the mirror in Christine's room, remember that paragraph of text in the beginning of part 17? That was the ending... And so everything afterward, starting from the catacomb, is the bonus round...

Thanks for taking the time to out these up!! I cant buy the game, but I was intrugued, thanks to my love of the phantom, and your visa have quenched my plot curiousity. But what kind of an ending was that?!? I sincerely hope that they finish it properly... Just seems off to me. All that work... For THAT?? :P

Thanks for playing this game. I have been wanting to play it since it came out and never could. So finally watching the whole thing was interesting, still makes me want to play it. lol! I hope they make a sequel to the game because I hate it when they do sucky cliffhanger endings that make no sense. I can see your view that Christine and Raoul come to rescue their daughter, but I can also see the daughter getting out herself and telling her parents what happened. I wonder what they will do?

I absolutely loved playing this game but sadly, my iPad kept updating with it getting to a point where my iPad wouldn’t open up the game. It happened to a few other games as well. I hated how I spent money on them & now can’t even play.

So... argh. The ending is weak, I agree, but after giving this game a few years, I've decided that I don't mind the ambiguity. It HAD to have been a very deliberate choice on the game makers' part. After all, now WE get to decide whether Evelina escaped or not, and what became of the Phantom. That's the beauty of the open ending.

There had better be a sequel or I will go Phantom on the game designers asses! DX

know right? I played that game a couple of times and it makes me frustrated with how the ending is so short, I thought something was supposed to happen like it said will she mend his heart or escape. Though it has references to the original novel, Phantom comes across as douche-y in this considering it takes place after the original story ends...it's why it should end where it ends in the original story, on a redemptive/cathartic note for Erik, not him still being bitter and controlling and trying to get revenge. Anyway...what a stupid ending haha. "I am who i always have been!" the end. And we didn't even get to see his fac--- I mean uh, sorry Phantom. of course I'm not curious about that, not at all
