[please note I'm not affiliated in any way with Mystery Tackle Box and am not a shill - just a regular customer who found out about MTB watching this video who wanted to provide honest consumer feedback to anyone else who might be interested in this company and its monthly fishing grab bag packages.] I was very pleasantly shocked to pull the VMC Wacky Weedless jig heads out because these are not just primo quality tackle, but are something I was actually going to buy in the next week or two. I've been using the Wacky Weedless jig heads the past three years for bass fishing with swimbaits (NetBait Craw Paca in Watermelon works by far the best of any rubber/plastic crawfish, minnow, worm or frog I've tried - I've caught dozens of largemouths with them as well as a crappie and a sauger). They do a great job of keeping snag free in a very weedy upper Midwest lake I've been fishing on annual vacation the past several years. I lost a bunch of these somewhat pricy jigheads last year because I gave them out to family members who were still using some kind of old 8lb monofilament line that wasn't strong enough to pull the jighead free from occasional snags; using 20lb Suffix braided line, I had no such problems. The only problem with the lures I got last night is that both crankbaits are in a variation of a shad pattern (called a sexy/foxy shad by a number of lure manufacturers) and while that pattern seems to be what a lot of customer reviews claim to be the most productive, a) I don't see the pro anglers on fishing shows using it very much (they seem to use the really bright flame tiger, yellow-chartruse, and orange patterned crankbaits; and b) more importantly, I just bought three crankbaits in this same sort of pattern by Bomber, Storm, and Strike King, plus had a fourth one by Matzuo already in the tackle box. So this year I definitely want to do a bit of a comparison between the various crankbaits. Last year I caught half a dozen bass with the Matzuo crankbait in the blushing shad pattern (heck of a deal at Gander Mountain - $7.99 for a 3-pack of the Matzuo crankbaits). The Storm Arashi seems like it's got the most high-tech design and seems to be fished by as many pro bass anglers as anything on the market. I'm curious how the more natural shad patterned lures will do versus some of the brighter, fluorescent ones I bought; I've got a suspicion that all of these lures I've been buying up this spring in anticipation of my upcoming vacation will still underperform compared to the NetBait crawfish swimbait, though. I'll try to remember to come back and post my results with the lures I got from MTB.

zoffinger definitely, anything to help out another fisherman. You could even try using one of those gulps as a trailer on the back to add some smell and action.
