The Last Waltz (2002)
¡IMPORTANT!
If anyone thinks they have footage (audience or professional) or an audience recording that no one else has (or that I haven't published) and wants to make it public, they can contact me.
¡IMPORTANT!
I never liked that they shortened the songs so that the movie didn't last that long, or at least they could have given them as bonus material for the 40th anniversary

Listen to Robbie's unbelievable rhythm guitar all through this song ! Quite magical .

Robbie was just a master, in such a chill way. Just listen to the track were Clapton loses his strap, and try to pick out the moment were Robbie steps in to keep things rolling, without looking at the video. It's hard to even hear the break in the music unless you're watching it happen.

The best version of this great song I’ve ever heard… just amazing! Paul Butterfield’s harmonica playing is phenomenal, so nice to see that broad grin Levon flashes him… like “yeah… I’m really digging this man!”

In the midst of Butterfield's blazing harmonica and Levon's great vocal, Robbie's blistering performance throughout is almost overlooked. Almost.

Great bits from old Garth on the organ, and I believe Richard is on the second drum kit.

If only Jim Morrison was alive for this one night to perform Mystery Train, it would’ve been phenomenal. Maybe even to see him perform with the others, that would’ve been nice

Shows you have no idea what a privilege it was for you to see and hear this performance. THIS was EPIC! Paul was one of the most incredible harp players ever. The stunning power behind every note is just literally breathtaking. Professional harp players know the dif. Harp players listen to Paul to learn how to play better. While his stage presence was solid, his poetry chops unmistakable, NOBODY listens to Jim to learn how to play harp better.

@@janbounds911 it is a privilege that we do have this on footage, especially having the people for the event. It just would’ve been nice to hear ole Jimbo sing along to this, since he loved playing this at his concerts till his last one. But yeah, it’s a great concert with fantastic performances and wonderful people.

As the song starts, the lights are turning low. Only Butterfield is on the spot light. Is this intentional or accidental? Anyway, I like this moment.

Scorsese and Robertson had planned where the spotlight would go in each song, which is why there are songs, like Stage Fright or Mystery Train, where only one person is in the spotlight.

The short answer is Yes. They lost the power feed to the stage lighting system for a short period of time so it’s only ( Super Trouper) spotlights. I think the Muddy Waters songs were also only with spotlights.
