Honestly, this strikes me as one of those things that's meant to SOUND dystopian, but would actually be a really good idea if it were implemented in real life. Forget just finding out if you're compatible with a specific person, this would be a good way to determine if you were cut out for marriage period. Because lets face it, lot's of people just aren't good at this kind of commitment to another person, and this would be a handy way to figure out if you can take it.

Compatibility comes not with similar interest, but with similar morals. Morals between both individuals are what will create the most problems, as such those matter most. A simple thing, as simple as deciding to have your child believe in santa, or to tell them to truth. Can lead to divorce due to the nature of the situations and the implication of the morals of it all. This also goes with political views and such as these factors will determine different aspects of your lives, with or against your will. Those are the things that matter most, but people instead rather love someone all cause they play a game with them for multiples hours a day, or because they like the same type of movies.

Honestly this only seems beneficial I feel in the long run it'd be an incentive to find the right person to marry while you're young and ifs easier to find someone so more long and happy marriages would occur. It also would teach people where they are falling short in relationships so they can work on themselves to be better partners. Also the wedding planning company can profit on people who are terrible at finding spouses and become repeat users, while profiting on successful marriages too plus some if they used the machine. The only downside is that your brain still experiences everything and so any trauma from the simulated marriages can still follow you.

I would rather face my unknown future with my partner than have it spoiled to me with the simulation. Sure it will show us how we will live together and if it's not good we could cancel the relationship but I still would rather experience it. I'm surprised by the amount of people in comments that would like that, I guess we are not the same.

feel like this is already a thing: moving in together before you marry each other. I never understood why that’s such taboo, I mean i know some people are weird about sex before marriage and living together implies it but it’s so beneficial. You get to see how this other person lives and acts at home and you can see how compatible you two are living day to day and doing tasks before the actual commitment of marriage.

Tbh, the problems and argument they had at the simulation were pretty natural and normal. I saw my parents had numerous fights from small things and miscommunication. They always compromise in the end. It's just weird that Yuichi and Chiharu already had an idea about their married life therefore, they won't be surprised and challenged anymore. There's a high chance that their relationship will get boring and complacent.

@@francescapaladini5763 What I meant by 'normal' was their fights itself that sprouted from miscommunication and differences. It's also not normal for a woman to expect that men will always relent to their qualms. But that's Chiharu and Yuichi's flaws that they need to overcome together.

My rule is always that you gotta date for at LEAST 2 years and live together for AT LEAST 1 year before gettinf married. Set healthy boundaries that a dating couple should have- not a married one when you live together. Get a 2 bedroom in case you need space from each other. I know people (esp fr asian countries) think living with a bg or gf is not ideal but in reality there is no other way to know all the ins and outs of a person unless you live together. It. Is. A. Necessity. Dont even think abt getting married without knowing how that person lives their life.

4:00 pausing video. actually, the weird thing about this movie is how this whole world doesn't incorporate marriage simulation as standard operating procedure part of lives. what's the harm? it only benefits you guys. you can break it off, confirm to get married or continue dating to see if you can guys work stuff out. completely virtually risk free. it's basically an advanced form of what all couples do as part of deciding whether or not to get married. and even if it's not known world wide, how is this like something to think about for either of them? it's not a prenuptial agreement or anything. it's a simulation! 100% benefit 0% risk (except for the cost of the medical fees or whatever) seriously, this kind of thing should be extremely revolutionary but with this sentence i'm kinda going back to my 1st paragraph...

It is a best and unique selection of movie for recap. That was certainly a rollercoaster ride! I was literally debating whether or not the end was part of the stimulation. But that was a cool idea! "The future that this device depicts is not absolute, and it may change based on their emotional reactions." This line alone spoiled the fact that YES, they will have a lot of problems in their relationship. They will argue a lot, but they will still stay together in the end.

I don't get this instant stalker tag attitude... It takes a lot of courage to ask someone out and more so if she's way out of your league...so expecting someone to ask you out after a glance is a very dumb attitude. Ask anyone old how they fell in love and you would think they were a stalker and bad person while it wasn't the case. Also if the girl says no then its not alright to chase her

The ending was interesting. It shows how human will always be anxious to know the future and of any mistakes they make. Since it is a psychological experience in a short period, it is realistic to think they froze after the simulation ended cuz it is hard to wrap up your mind about an life experience that took so long but in the same it didn't cuz the simulation even got breaks in between. And even the real end of the simulation didnt give time to their mind to comprehend what was happening. It can make things hard. I think it would have been even better if the program offer time for the couple to sit or walk within the premises but outdoor and communicate. I think that wad the main issue. Most couples just date a bit and marry within a year or less than 6 months. The simulation a way to show the audience that communication, interaction, and facing their problems with one another and learn to commit to a relationship is key. Only by going thru the real experience the couple will really know if they stay together or not cuz the future is not fully predetermined since we keep making designs and each decision lead us to different paths. The only certain future is that, at least for now, everybody is going to die. That is the only real determined future we have...at least immortality can be obtain.

Listan to mah Wisedom, ya Kiddos!! I'm telling ya, most of their issues stem from just being young, so not much to say there. Talking it out and having Empathy helps, duh. And the Rest is up for Time: they need emotional maturity, which the Simulator apparently does not understand as a Factor, at all. But what really confused me is the Toilet-'Problem'... What was that about? I'm not kidding: I dont get it.
