As a dyed in the wool, rock and metal head I feel proud that the great Pat Boone is an integral part of the heavy metal family. He has an awesome voice.

Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy said that Pat Boone is the coolest guy they know and know him personally. I read an article about his time in the studio doing this record and they said that so many of the Metal Hierarchy of the best Metal Bands were dropping by the studio and were so honored that Pat Boone was doing one of their songs. They said he has nothing but respect for them and they of him. That's fine with me. I still listen to the CD every now and then.

I heard that Ronnie James Dio recorded his background vocals on Pat's album for Holy Diver. It was Ronnie's birthday.

I read about him doing this in some magazine - and it was one of the most unbelievable articles ever, I just stared at the print...then I saw a news ad or something for him in that awards show he talks about here. THEN I saw THIS when it aired. I'm glad someone uploaded this. Funny moment in Television history for real.

Surprisingly, it is very good. I had always known of it but never heard until tonight mainly because I didn’t know that it had big band accompaniment. I thought it was a pathetic attempt by an aging pop star of yesteryear to be relevant and, accordingly, would be cringe inducing. Well played, Pat.

Are the tattoos real? I like him here but otherwise he is alittle to self righteous. He was a very strict and closed minded father. I remember hearing how he continued spanking his daughters , well into their teens. He was quick to condem this music before and those who performed it. He would be the first to tell you how he is saved but your going to hell. I always thought he was a very closeted gay man hiding behind his good boy and holy act.
